    SeveLiam:

You mentioned in an earlier post that the "Information" icon against each Coin Room game shows the Pack Cap for each Coin Room. I have recently started playing Montreal, which has an indicated Pack Cap of Tour Champion, but when I win, it usually only drops a Silver Pack with 10-12 attributes, which is typical of what you get from winning, say, Rio. I am a Tour Legend at Level 98.

Do you have any more information on this?

    Thanks

Yes it's also mentioned that the tier of packs you get is limited by your own tier as well, hence the recommended rooms at different tiers. You can check this before clicking "open" but in that Tour Champ room you're getting Tour Legend silver packs, if you were a Champ you'd get Champ packs and only after reaching Tour Champ you'd take full advantage with Tour Champ silver packs.

Leg-TourLeg-Champ is an awkward spot for coin rooms because of this, despite a lot of players being there due to the ridiculous amount of tournament rounds needed for saturation.

Also keep in mind that, while this hasn't really been confirmed by someone keeping track over a large sample size, we're assuming higher coin rooms have a higher chance of gold/plat packs on victory so it's not a complete waste. And the next room cap down is TM which would drop you 2 tiers of packs in your case anyway, so yea awkward spot.

    DuFussMcGoo:

Take a look at the SWING EDGE BUCKET HAT specs...

Driver distance is +90 while all of us have level 10 driver distance of +80. A +80 is equal to a distance of 312.

So what would a +90 be?

Here's a thought. Does WGT take bribes? I'll pay 4,000,000 coins to get to level 10 on the SE SWING EDGE BUCKET HAT

It should read 314 (314,4 rounded down) but maybe someone with that combo would be able to provide a screenshot.

Hmm just the cost of upgrades for SE bucket lvl1 to 10 would be 400k coins and the hard part would be getting almost 2k repeats of the hat. Doesn't seem like a great bribe you'll have to step it up a bit >_<

I have now reached Tour Champion, so, on your recommendation, started playing Tokyo and Manhattan (not risked Bellagio yet!).. I have won 8 times in Tokyo and 3 in Manhattan, but noticed that the number of items dropped in a Silver Pack seems to remain at around 10-12, as it was previously playing Rio as a Champion. I have won 1 Gold and 0 Platinum so far in these 11 games.

Might I expect better numbers now I am playing the highest Pack caps in the highest Tier?

    Thnaks

I can't answer on the boxes as I think it's 100% random, but I just wanted to say Kudos on playing Pgan F9 Easy 29 times a row in one day.  That's some true dedication to artificially lowering your average!

It used to be that only stroke play lowered your average.  Is that not the case anymore?

Hummm....... Sounds a bit facetious in that congratulations!

I, on the other hand, would NEVER stoop so low as to play courses set to lower one's average to achieve TCship. (Well maybe I did, but that was long ago and maybe I did it on Wolf back 9 with only 10 times a day).

Back then, to get to TC we only had to play 200 rounds. (Nope, that's not a mistake!)

While PGA (front or back), and Kiawah are easy from the reds, they are nothing compared to Wolf's back 9.

I play an easy course every now and then (mainly to help with club goals, but sometimes just because it's fun and I want a break from high winds and 13-14 greens).  But I like to play in Tournaments and Club vs Club events, and I'd be quickly exposed being TC who probably couldn't beat a Legend or TL in those events if all I did was play nothing but Red tees over and over again just to artificially lower my average.  But to each their own, play how you want.  And it was true dedication to play the same 9 holes over and over 29 times in one day.

And I'll take PGA front over Wolf back all day long if we're talking Red tees, but that's just me.  Both courses you can get lots of eagle looks, but I prefer the table top flat greens on PGA to have a better chance at converting more of those chances.  😉

Yes, for the most part.  You can advance level and to a certain extent tiers by playing coin rooms, but average is driven off of Ranked Stroke games with a few exceptions (BoP3, BoP5, Custom CC).

yes I thought so thanks BlackBogey.  I mainly play Stroke so I am a little surprised (if that's the right word) when I do see in coin games really high ranked low tier players with great gear.  I've been stuck in the 90s level for what seems and probably has been - years.

They are likely playing a lot of 3 hole Skins games, which give the best bang for the buck on XPs but don't affect your average.  That way they are able to maintain a low Tier but have top level equipment, which "could" give them a big advantage in Master/Tour Master tournaments.  Good news is, once they win or place high in a few of those WGT will bump them up in Tier, and once they reach Legend they really lose a lot of that advantage because they'll get bumped to back tees and a lot of Legends will also have the good equipment.
