  Advertising may not be a good test, sorry ct.  Black Diamond GC stopped advertising over 2 years ago and our membership has been steady.

  A key warning about clubs who advertise all the time:  How big are they already?

  There is a 250 member limit for clubs.  If a club is close to that and is advertising, it suggests they kick existing members in a heart beat.  So if you are not playing every day, do not join that club.

  No need to apologize. I was of the mindset that if a CC is actively recruiting, then the CC itself would be somewhat active. A common reason people want to join (or switch) a CC is because the one they are currently in is too quiet.

  I’ve moved toward “Facilitator.”  Even “Manager” implies too much authoritarianism to me, let alone “Owner” seeming like your members are property or chattel.
