Is it possible that the effect you're seeing is real, but due to other factors?  Specifically, what time of day you're playing?

I've noticed lately that when I play in busier hours, my scores are garbage.  more deviations, meter glitches, etc.  I had a round on the St andrews front 9 today that exemplifies this.  it was the RG with low wind.  on that 9 with low wind, -5 is usually the absolute worst I will shoot.  yet in this round, and several others recently, I couldn't have hit it in the ocean from a boat.  some yardages were weird, other putts were off, and I had a couple of slight meter variations that caused missed putts.  I shot 34, and it really wasn't close to being better.

Conversely, I've noticed that when I play during less busy times I will frequently play lights out.  It's like I can't help but ding the meter every time, and every shot plays how I expect it to.  is there a possibility that the load on the servers has a hand in this?
