    Hi there,

did anybody notice that this awesome virtual course doesn't reproduce the above local rule of the Old Course?

I haven't had a ball on the road behind the road hole (#17) yet, but the road crossing the 18th hole reacts with "immovable obstruction, free drop on the fairway" when the ball comes to rest there.

Is this to protect our virtual clubs from wear and tear?

    I did notice that.

Maybe to prevent having to program another lie and the variables that go with it.

All I know is that my longest drive - 346 yards - was immensely perpetuated by the road on this course. The bounce was incredible!

you may also notice that there are no lateral water hazards on any of the courses.

    makes things more simple...

and within the rules for the tournament committee to defines things so

I guess that explains why a lot of time when you hit the ball in the water on a lateral hazard, you have to hit the same shot again with a 1 stroke penalty..
