I'm pretty sure that when we have had multiround comps in our CC you can practice next round and the conditions on the practice round were exactly the same as the next round proper.Maybe WGT will go a different route who knows?

You keep referring to 'the practice round' as if each tourney has a practice round that goes along with it .... there is no such thing. (unless set up specifically in a cc comp) Tourneys are tourneys and practice mode is something else. There are no "practice rounds" for the WGT tournament and never have been.

I don't keep referring to the 'practice round',i only mentioned what i saw when i clicked on  practice, and my last post was replying to a couple of comments made by other players.Admittedly whenever i have entered a WGT Tournament before i have never seen a practice round after completing the 1st stage of a Tourny,if i'm wrong i'm old enough and ugly enough to admit it i was only going by what i saw nothing more!

Low scores are possible with practice,  i  have been playing for just under a year now getting close to tour master tier and i scored 58 around st andrews,  and should have had a lower score missed a couple of birdie chances.  so my advice is keep playing, the more rounds you have the more you learn.

Wow there's alot of jealously about.

Sorry the guys that can score like that are just very good.

Play a few thousand ranked rounds and you should be able to see how these scores are possible.

Just because YOU can't doesn't mean no one else can.

yeh some of these scores are so unrealistic something should be done about it. Also, putting needs to be looked at the putt doesn't even look like it goes in the direction you place the marker - at least start in that direction. I maybe a hack but what chance have you got with that kind of shot - I just start off and get so peeved I just pull the plug - not realistic. end of gripe.......

If they added more strokes to the best scores, let's say 10. It would add 20+ strokes to your'e game.....still want it?

    Edit,

Looked at your'e dormant account, probably more like 30/40 strokes

    ArchibaldBunker:

how are people averaging in the 60s and 50s?
is it simply the top equipment, or "cheats"?

The "average" on WGT is not really an average, it is just the average of your best rounds. For each tier there is a different amount of rounds that counts, but as soon as you reach that number, your "average" will never go up, no matter how bad you play. It will go down though, each time you hit a score lower than your current average. If you have a 63,2 average you can play 20 rounds with more than 80 shots without affecting the average, then if you hit a single 61, it will go down.

So if you play a lot and make a very good round now and then, then your average will be very low.

You should play Tiger Woods 13 and check out the online leaderboards sometime.

I almost couldn't believe it when I first looked at them but everyday someone is hitting 25 under for fun and lots having 100 under for a 4 round tournament.
