Hole #1 at cabo, i'm 4 foot from hole, my putter view shows a break travelling from right to left, i double check and look at chip view. The chip view shows a break from left to right, opposite to what putter view shows. I've come to learn that the chip view is more accurate than putter view so i aim left of cup and sink the putt. If i had gone with the putter view, yes the view we are MEANT to use for putting, i would have aimed right of cup and putt would have gone wide!
This is not only a 1 hole experience, most of the holes on cabo, the putter view is completely different to chip view, and the chip view is the one which is accurate.
Did the person from wgt make a mistake whilst mapping the greens and got chip and putter the wrong way round? Common sense shows that putter view should be the most accurate as its the putter we need to use to sink the putts, so why does it show the wrong break yet chip view shows the correct one. People should therefore get in the habit of double checking your break with chip view, and start trusting the chip view as right, even though it might show an opposite break to the putter view. It might be a slow & tedious having to flick from putter to chip and back to putter, but it will pobably save a few strokes on a round at Cabo and stop those WTF putts.LOL
(but wgt have got it the wrong way round if chip view is more accurate than putter view)
