Yes I realize there's enough threads on the new Whistler course. But I'm curious how many other WGT regulars find the Cabo and Whistler greens to be so far below WGT's other courses in terms of realism they don't even bother playing them.

I've only played Cabo 10 to 15 times since it opened. I've played Whistler once and really couldn't care if I ever play it again. The layout is magnificent. Actually so is Cabo. Love the elevation changes of both courses. But I just cannot get over how unrealistic the greens are.

It's a shame because as I stated, both courses are fun to play. But I like those visual nuances the HD course give when reading breaks, or planning on where to put your approach. That's my biggest draw for playing WGT. Very lacking on those two courses for sure. They are too TWOish for my taste.

For those that like it, that's great. More power to you. And I envy you as it's always nice to have new courses. Guess I'll just have to wait until April. :(

I've seen several posts like this. The graphics is what it is. I personally like the elevation changes and unique challenges this course offers. Even though a wgt hd photos course is much preferred, I'd much rather have a trugolf course as an option to play than not get to play the course at all.

The biggest thing about scoring this course is the same as most other courses. Where to try and leave your approach shots.  Some holes when the balls land will kick it hard to the left, others hard to the right.  Some holes you have to land it long because your ball is going to spin back 12-15 ft anyway.

First several times I played bethpage15 I thought WTH, this hole is unplayable. For a very long time avoided beth back just because of this hole. One day  played with another who showed me how to play it and with that knowledge, its now a birdie hole 7 out of 10 times.

Basically this is a course full of oak 9, ccc 11, cabo 18 and beth page 15 greens.  Take notes when you're playing  where to send your approach  shots  which holes need top spin, which  holes need backspin approaches and each time around the course it will get easier.

Pair up with a buddy and play together trying different type of shots from similar approaches and see what works.  I played  36 holes with icon this morning and sometimes just bouncing shot ideas off one another can get you thoughts to help you next time around. Darsum, I'd be happy to get on skype with you and play a round at whistler  mate to share shot ideas with each other if you choose to give it another chance.

I appreciate the offers guys, really. Like I said I love both Cabo and Whistlers layouts it's just the unrealistic looking greens that makes it so displeasing. WGT has definitely spoiled me with their HD graphic greens.

Have to agree with this post as well.  TruGolf course graphics leave something to be desired compared to the WGT courses.  Especially the greens which do not compare and thus making them not nearly as fun to play.

Whistler is an improvement over Cabo, but that might have something to do with all the mountains terrain.

    Thanks for listening.

    Mike
