are there any development ideas for a practice ground? Somewhere you could practice driving would be good but somewhere you could practice putting/ short game outside of a round would be ideal. Something with a mix of greens, being able to vary the wind direction and speed etc, would be fantastic.

Play in practice mode and you get 10 shots per hole. I tee off, hit approach as good as I can and putt once to the hole. If I miss I putt it into bunkers or the rough around the greens and play up and down. I've even practiced iron distance shots by hitting backward and forward in the fairways. Bethpage front side as well as Oakmont work great for practice and not losing balls.

You get 10 strokes per hole in practice mode so use them anyway you want to get better.
