Hi all. Just loaded this game and am looking forward to playing.

    2 immediate questions though...

How can you turn the music off & where can I practice the tutorials without joining or making a game?

    Ta.

Especially after saving a game to finish later. The chance to warm up again after a certain time period would help. Offer a choice. Set a limit to keep it fair. After short warmup period it could default to the saved game or quit round.

I think it would be great to have a practice range!  How about it WGT?

Here is a pretty good thread with various opinions on the Driving range option.  Many others as well.

Thank you Ratty. I guess that the answer is no anyway.

How does a N00b get an idea of what it takes to play after having WATCHED ALL THE tutorials, but with nowhere to try it out.

    What did you do?

I just did a lot of practice rounds and a lot of forum searches.  Along with a bunch, and I mean a bunch of notes.  I keep notes for each of my clubs from shots I have hit.  For example:  I write down the following:

    64 Wedge (60y)  12y  1ft dwn  4 downleft wind  /  25% = 11y.

25% is what percentage of the bar I hit and the result was 11y.  I have tons of those for different clubs.  When you get a few for different shots and lies it makes it easier to figure out what you need.

I am still new myself and this was my approach.  Good luck my friend.

P.S.  If you search for green speed yardage or some variation of that there are some great templates members have shared that will aid in distance control.
