    DrussTheLegend:

I've played it 4 times now - twice on the sly before qual officially opened - shot 66,64,65,62.  Once I've got the greens down I can see myself getting maybe a 58 or 59 here....

In heavy winds this course will be a totally different story - some tee shots will be impossible to keep on the fairway - it will make for a very interesting final.

I doubt very seriously that if the actual open has any heavier winds that the scores will change much from qualifying. The top ranked guys will still shoot in the mid 50's

It's the Championship green speed that will change everything.

Finally got on last night and played a few rounds trying to qualify. Well....I havnt posted a score yet. lol

I agree w/ ChrisIronBones that it seems any miss of ding is multiplied on this course. Its a great challenge and I probly restarted 5-7 times last night after the first 9. Cant seem to string 4 or 5 birdies in a row yet, maybe ever...

Great course though. I do like the trees and forcing players to hit fade/draws off alot of the tees. The Par 3's are not simple 6 or 7 irons and are pretty tough.

Greens read well but seem to me deathfully slow? Left way way to many putts short.

Congrats to all who have 59 and under so far.

I'm sure by the time qualifying is over we'll have -18's and -20's

Hooray for auto clickers, cheat programs, and putter injections.

    Maybe a neat 48:)....or lower.

The qualifier is set up to make you struggle.  Take my 2 shots at the 6th.  First time i had 13 mph rigt to left wind, i aim at right of f'way, my dinged drive turns loads and heads for bunker.  After a few re-starts, i get there again this time at -4, i have 14 mph right to left wind, after my last shot hit bunker, i aimed a touch further right, at the point the 2nd cut ends, but this time my dinged drive lands on the fringe of 2nd cut and f'way.  Wind din't effect shot.

....And that should be the limit!.....1 attempt per person & if you disconnect or want to restart, you get no score. ( practice before you enter the tournament as in real golf! )

I can't believe some people play this one & that joke Kiawah tournament and restart over & over until they make 2-3 eagles and finally decide to PLAY on......Unreal!

Yes, how dare they get  a good round due to practicing.  Its not fair is it.  they play well, score low and i cant be bothered to keep trying so they shouldn't be allowed to either.  Damn you good players.  Go and play frogger on the freeway..........so my round of 70 can win something for a change.   need a holiday to, so US open layed on by WGT sounds good, so all you good players, go away for a month.  Let Mr. Hack win for a change.  Damn you again!

Chris you are one thick headed dude.

Championship greens will be about as fast as regular tournament greens judging by the greens in the qualifiers

If the game is any indication to what the course is like I wonder if anyone will finish under par afrter four rounds. +2 might win the tournament this year.
