So, Daz., to you the top R11's meter speed, paired with top Nike balls, is not "risky" enough to be applied to upcoming upgrades? Scary and questionable proposition, from my old and humble standpoint.

No. The new R11 is very forgiving on missed ding shots.

What i'm saying is, if a new driver is released in the future that goes a any further then the accuracy should be cut down forcing players to think more about course management and lay up on occasion.

Dazz., keep in mind that the new R11S driver is more forgiving in real life as well. This is a general trend in the development of new clubs, as far as I know. Wgt only mirrors that trend in its virtual clubs.

In other words, companies like Taylor Made, Ping, and Nike are putting much emphasis on their clubs becoming increasingly playable. So why here should we go in the opposite direction?

With the new uneven lies that they are working on, I think that will open the door for new equipment.  Clubs with more dots for shot shaping is my theory.

At this point, uneven lies is a purely WGT thing.  Disregarding the probability that they have overemphasized the effects of an uneven lie. they have, thus far, discounted the conditions that a player might take to mitigate the effects.

I have seen no options to back up from the ball, or step forward, or choke up on the club, or open my clubface or close my clubface.  WGT has presented us with a new problem but they have denied us the most common and effective solutions that are available in real life.  I know it's merely a game and not truly indicative of a real, physical game.

Nevertheless, they should not offer problems that have no solutions whatsoever. Presentations of that nature introduce the concept of a crap shoot, not golf.

    Just sayin'.

Why do you think they put in in practice mode only? They haven't offered up a problem, they're moving forward. Don't like it (or can't hack it,) don't play it but give it a chance instead of passing judgement on a brand new work in progress.

Maybe you could apply some of that massive intelligence you claim to possess and help them refine it. Novel idea.

I haven't claimed any massive intelligence.  I've claimed years of experience coupled with factual engineering knowledge.

I also think you'll find I support WGT as often as I offer critiques.

My suggestion that they offer the ability to open/close the clubface IS a suggestion for refining the implementation.  Excuse me if your post seems a tad contradictory.

I'm with you Bubba, let's get the rest of WGT sorted first.
