HAHA... this thread is good.   You can't delete the course but hey... it's not your fault for playing poorly and losing balls..... ALWAYS WGT's fault!!  If I could get a dollar for the number of threads that relate players poor play to WGT's fault I'd be rich!

I've just read most of the comments posted here about the "Olympic" course.  Sure would be GREAT to see more CLASS coming from you WGT LEGENDS.  The smart A$$ comments just aren't necessary.  That "Olympic" course is extremely challenging for most WGT members....those who have NOT yet achieved Tour Master or Legend.

I have some really good LEGEND friends on this website.  And from looking at the Profiles of MOST "Legends".....they have been WGT members for 12 months to over 2 years....and most have hit between 1,500 to 3,000 "ranked rounds"....and no telling how many "practice rounds" or "start overs" they did......to make it to LEGEND.  I've seen some "Legend" Profiles who show less than 500 "ranked rounds"...but, you HAVE to know, most likely, they hit an additional 1,500 to 2,000 "practice rounds.

Most of us, who have not yet made it to the LEGEND tier "understand" that the "Olympic" course is set up basically for LEGENDS.....the tees are Legend tees.  And unless you have access to the BEST WGT equipment.....you're at a HUGE disadvantage while playing the "Olympic" course.

I'm not talking about ALL "Legends" here.....but, some of you "Legends" need to just "get over yourselves".....show a little CLASS.

bearclaw27.....with all due respect.  You've been a WGT member for 20 months now...and are at the "Tour Master" tier.  You've played just over 1,000 "ranked rounds"....but, how many "practice rounds"?  You have an R11 Driver & L59 Ping Irons in your bag.....you SHOULD have low scores @ Olympic!

I've only been a WGT member now for 4-1/2 mos. (416 ranked rounds & zero practice rounds) - though, getting close to being a "Tour Master".  I hit a 72 score (twice) on Olympic.

Many newer WGT members don't "understand" that it takes a LOT of "ranked rounds" and the BEST WGT clubs & balls to get low scores on a course as challenging as "Olympic".

    Just saying.

^ The US Open Quali Tourney is played from the Championship tees but any of us can play the Course from our normal tees in Ranked Rounds or any tee we want in practice mode rounds.

Of course it's hard - it's the championship. As a lower-ranked player at the time, in 2010, I declared Oakmont unplayable. Played it probably hundreds of times since.

Just be patient. Learn what you can from playing it now, then you will be able to play it better later under easier conditions.

Only 156 people + ties will qualify, so obviously those will be the best players. It's no big deal if you're not one of them. Hardly anyone is.

How can I delete this course? It is obviously WGT's way to make money. Every piece of course information is corrupt. Blatant money making at its worst.

You don't have to delete it or any other course here at wgt. I think it is one if not the best course at wgt. I had fun today, shot in the low 60's & lipped out about 7 putts inside 10 ft.

Idk how they can make money off of Olympic with lost balls. I have only lost a couple so far. I bombed my approach shot on #1 & forgot to club down on #3 lol.

Some holes play a little farther than the flag say buy, duh, aint it like that at many of these courses?

I've seen only one problem with Olympic. The pin positions are only one per hole. I've played in the Quali, ranked and practice rounds and it's always the same.  Unless..... WGT is going to surprise the players who qualify for the US Open with different pin positions they've held back just for the Open. Having such a fine course come on is fantastic but with only one pin position per hole it's not going to be long before we all know it too well. I prefer the courses that surprise me with which pin positions will be cut. I'm hoping there's other positions that are unveiled at the Open and then can be played by everyone after it's finished.
