  Well said Lisa,My lovely friend you are,,Best ball means best ball on the pairing,you go OB score 8 your partner birdies,,opposite team goes birdie birdie hole is halved,:) best ball from both teams is net birdie.

  I think I can clear this up, his only confusion is coming from the actual score of the hole.  The actual score doesn't matter Infinito, only WIN, LOSE, or DRAW.  The eagle is pointless other than the fact that it bested birdie.  Regular match play scoring, only each team has 2 players trying to obtain a score that will win the hole.

  Here's how it played out according to the scorecard:

  10. Not USA +1

  11. USA squares match

  12. push

  13. push

  14. push

  15. Not USA +1

  16. USA squares match

  17. USA +1

  18. USA +1

  Capiche?

  Thanks for your explanation werksux.  The issue for me was in the wording, when "Score" was mentioned.  A simple example would have cleared any confusion.

  Blimey, I can´t even go to sleep for a few hours! :) I think it´s all been clarified now though, hasn´t it?

  Tess and I finished our half today Seve. We halved 6 and 8 so the world team is still up one with Chris and Dan left with 7 and 9.

  Here is the scorecard for Ryder match between julio moot/geordieles v bolloxinbruges/werksux

  The match got off to a good start all 4 of us reasonably close on 10 more so jason who nearly holed his 2nd shot,and he came even closer on 11 lipping out for an ace usa 1up,the next 3 were halved in birds bollie coming in when needed and then playing good approach shots on 15 and 16 for a full compliment of birdies,and the match.

  Good game fellas well played.
