    Kindle2010:

Leads me to question the point of being part of the nation, so far two Tourneys and excluded from the possibility of winning prizes on both. Last time was a sweepstake, so different rules applied, but this is just 1st, 2nd and 3rd, how does that differ from the normal weekly monthly tourneys, which I am eligible to win prizes from.

"The regulations are very complicated, but yes prizes, rewards and competition are all restricted to protect the consumer and in some countries their regulations were not set up to deal with the internet or modern business practices.  Therefore to protect the consumer and WGT we are not running prize or reward tournaments in countries where WGT cannot abide by their regulations."

Thank you for your reply but you have not answered my question, which was how does this Tourney differ from the weekly and monthly ones which I can enter and receive prizes from? The fact that I can and have received prizes from these and from Ready to Go's suggests my country is set up to deal with the internet and modern business practices, so that is not the reason.

If its looks like a duck, and walks like a duck, its a ........

    Thanks Kindle2010

I got the link from WGTadmin2, thankfully.

Its a shame the practice round is played from the red tees and standard speed greens. That's not going to help much. lol

Here's the link to the leader-board, and the practice link as well.

if wgt are really going to get behind this wgt nation thing...they really need to get all the tournament details out to nation members.

i only found out about it via word of mouth.

seems a lot of others didn't know about it either.

it'll turn out to be an easter egg hunt for folks wanting to play round two.

    WGTadmin2:

As for the other's posts, I will ask our tech team to figure out why you are not receiving emails.

I'm not getting WGT Nation e-mails, either.  Checked all the receive e-mail boxes under my account after I wasn't notified of the last Nation tourney, but it apparently didn't help, since I didn't get notified of the tourney going on now.

Oh, also noticed that when I did find out about this tourney and entered, it still doesn't show up in the game client, unlike the last Nation tourney, but it does give me a "play now" on the tournament web page.

Kindle - There are different rules and regulations for real world item prizes vs credits vs sweepstakes vs top score.  Also the prize amounts and how much notice time we give and run the contest for all influence the countries we can offer the contests in.

    Thank you for your reply.

But are you able to indicate if this situation will change, is being looked at, or is simply to hard to fix, some clarity would be nice. Otherwise this issue is going to get raised every time a new tourney is started, and only some are able to play for the goodies.

    Thanks Kindle2010

Different laws and regulations for different countries, hhmm, as a US citizen and residing within 30 miles of four different states, I find that quite a few friends and associates may not be able to qualify for certain WGT competitions due to local on-line gaming regulations.  I can imagine it is quite the nightmare to try and sort those laws out, but my tribe, as many others have learned overcome that white-man silliness is to build our casinos couple hundred feet in from the borders of the non-gaming state.  Pays off, too.  Our road is nearly paved and rural water is going in end of this summer.  Keep playing those slots, white-eyes.

A couple thoughts and observations to add here:

    1)  There is definitely an e-mail problem.  I double-checked my address and contact settings.  All are correct.  I also receive numerous WGT e-mails with no problem; i.e., tourney confirms and reminders, prizes and challenges.  I received no e-mail about this tourney.

    2)  Finding the tourney was not too awfully hard ... even a bit of a fun "easter egg" hunt.  Just ran a global search in the forums for "WGT Nation Olympic" and voila -- this thread came up with the link.  Just finished round one.  Not great but it was below par. :-)

    3)  The last tourney had a link on the tournament page.  This one does not.  If you could include a similar link in the future it would be really helpful -- and greatly appreciated.

    4)  I really like the multiple round format for this tournament.  It is why I also get in on all the multi-round tourneys I can.  I think a FOUR round (72 hole) format for a WGT Nation tournament would be wonderful.  Vary the weather from round to round.  It would be a most interesting format.

    5)  Thank you for creating and maintaining such an enjoyable online game.  I know you get a lot of "guff" at times, but it is a very enjoyable way to see and play on courses most of us will never have the opportunity to play.  Hats off to all of you.

    6)  Finally thank you for bringing us Olympic and in such superb graphics.  I am going to the Open this year -- including the practice rounds -- and have been using my rounds to get ideas for holes which might prove most interesting, for camera angles (since they are allowed during the practice rounds), and for viewing positions once the tournament gets underway.

Thank you to the WGT team.

Well thanks WGT I finally get my email to find out that the comp is already finished,  whats the point of being a member of nations if YOU don't inform the members with plenty of time and then when we do get the email the comp is already finished total waste of time.

I am also not getting emails about tournaments. Only when I buy something in the pro shop. My email is correct and allows notifications. Why am I not getting emails about the tournaments?
