Flag Ghost! ;D...lol  (or it is Ghost flag? :s  )

I had this question for a while, I guess this is a good moment to ask it.

When we hole a shot and the ball hit the pin before going in, like a chip in or a holed flop or chip...etc... the ball hit the flag and goes in.

Does that count as a Hit the flag stick for the "hit all flag stick in the course award" ?

    tks, :)

Interesting question. It should count, but.....  My silly way of thinking is...

It counts only if you get the message 'Hit the Flagstick' and not the message 'Chip in'  ... I think.

That is my thinking too :) that's why I want to know!

is not too important, but  a fair question ;)

    cheers

Very fair question. I've got one of those awards, but as time goes by...  I'm pretty sure I've hit all the Flagsticks on another course, but no award.

That's why I think, if you hit the stick and chip-in, it won't be counted. Only if you hit the stick and the ball stay's out.

on a par 3 at congressional my drive hit the green and bounced backwards into the trap.  I watched the replay 3 times and the ball clearly hit the green but bounced backwards.  I just about decided it was just a deviation.  I tried the #3 view the last one that I could get and  I could see the ball clearly hit the flag stick about 3 feet up,  there was no noise or any "hit the flagstick" pop up.   Crazy eh?

hey, I found the answer :) moments ago I holed a shot from Fringe, and at the same time I received the Platinum hit the flagstick award. I didn't remove the pin, so I hit it.

So, if we hole a shot and hit the stick at the same time, it count

    :D

    IJustWant2Golf:

Who is going to miss a swooping 2 footer?

    Bethpage #15 springs to mind.

There's more than a few slippery putts on Oakmont too..
