This is just a warning to people who have yet to play round 2 of the wgt nation tournament, especially if you are like me and its the first game of the day and coffee hasn't kicked in yet.  It took me until hole #5 to realise it was off master tees LOL and not legend ones and by then my decent start had diminished..

Please dont make the same mistake and presume your on black tees and continue with your usual "legend style" shots.

Even this didn't make me realise (just thought i had selected wrong iron!!!)

I had to laugh at the situation at being so dumb and not even noticing to hole #5, i even thought branches had been chopped on #4.  Best not to play WGT if you've been up since 6.30 with kids until you have at  least had 2 cups of coffee.

Good luck to the ones who are on the ball and have noticed this "basic feature".lol, and well done to wgt for mixing it up (if only i had realised sooner!!)

It took me a couple of holes to notice that as well. I was disappointed to be playing from those tees. I had a feeling that we'd get heavy wind for  the second round so I played some practice rounds with the wind cranked up from the back tees. I was thrown for a loop throughout the round. I suppose that's what they wanted? ;-)

Thanks for the heads up, Chris.  Noticed the June 18 Hole Open had me on TM tees, too.

Noticed the tee length at #3, but after #2 I realized it might be Legend greens - took me three more bogeys to get accustomed to it.Geez, balls running like crazy!

A nasty double pushed me up, too. Finally, 5 neat birdies saved a +1 71 and rank 28, provisionally.

From 249 Masters participating, there are 105 scores, 13 hours to go, and 22 WDs.

Wonder how many have broken their legs on these icy greens :)

Very low wind and forward tees = Birdies out there :)

I played the best round of my career - 60 :) - and didn't realize why it was so easy (masters tees) until like the 14th hole!!!

I had a look at the results.  I'm not really fussed about it, but was a bit surprised at the scores. I had a bit of a giggle thinking what a difference unlimited play is to Single Play...lol

I just had a look at the Legends section and not the other Tiers.

Now thats how all Tourneys should be, single play. That way at least everyone has a chance.

Very low wind!!!!!! On the 5 holes i DID play i didn't get wind less than 19 mph, but by then my -3 had gone to -1 due to me teeing off 5 how i would normally not realising it was blue tees and landing so far in rough i had to ask caddy for a scythe just to get to the ball, and then i went and used it on his head for not telling me #3 was 203 yards not 243 (and after taking a peek at leaderboard even if i had blasted the back 9 to pieces there was no way of beating top 3.)  but made to feel better as there was a host of "top" names in same boat.

Could it be that those who posted a good first round score got tough wind, and those who didn't post a good first round got lower wind to bring them back into the game??

Nope; had a cr*p wind set R1 and played well and then had a good wind set R2 and missed too many makeable putts....sometimes it is your own fault when you don't shoot the lights out every round.

Round 2 Legend tier had heavy wind but the1 up tees. I don't know what the other tiers had to play in their rounds. I think WGT always has different conditions per tier.

I noticed some notable WD's on the Legend leaderboard after the second round. I was really hoping these folks would play it out so I could compare my scoring to theirs. Oh well it's their game anyway so they play it how they want.
