    MisterWGT:

I think we'll see different scores in the Championship round vs. the endless free play of the qualifier.

Think about it this way... for every 10,000 rounds started on Olympic in the last month, approximately 600 actually post a score on the 18th.

I'm sure would have LOVED a restart after his first tee shot.

Disagree, you will see rounds in the 50's from the top WGT players in the virtual Us Open final here at Olympic, with SINGLE play rounds with high winds & championship greens.

....no offense to the real Pros.....there is tough, not here.

I love these kind of stats, anymore? Most birdied hole, toughest green etc?

We are discussing pulling some of the fun / most interesting stats and posting after the championship.

And I cannot wait to compare our results in the Virtual to the actual Open.  How will our stats compare?  After 36 holes in our Championship rounds... will they compare?  Will be fascinating to see!

Only two players under par for holes 1-6 for example ;)

I'm willing to predict right now that after 36 holes even the worst score on here will be better than the best score in the real open. I would reckon about 10 shots per round on average and that's conservative.

There won't be any comparison, lol. I am pretty sure there'll be a few players who shoot     2 x sub 60 rounds in the virtual open. When I say a few I do mean 3 or 4. From the many fantastic players there are on WGT there are bound to be a few who nail both rounds.

    Virtual U.S. Open:  Having a high-iron or 3 wood shot at 17.

Real Life:   Nick Watney makes a DE!!!

    Advantage:  I think we know....

U.S. OPEN -- Nick Watney scores a TWO on hole 17.  A TWO!!!

VIRTUAL U.S. OPEN -- (running the stats now to see how many have done that)

    Advantage:  Nick Watney!

    MisterWGT:

It's a balancing act... keeping the game accessible for first-time players around the world vs. the seasoned WGT veteran definitely affects the scoring.

However, that said, we don't want scores in the 50s either.

In the coming releases there will be a series of features that will better address this.

This is very interesting. Is this something the WGT team recently thought of, or is the new features something WGT has been working on for some time?
