  It was decided (even suggested by a Dev) to use Genorbs top 100 Legend avg list and send invites to the top 50 or so "non-Dev's" on the list.

  We don't "know" 95% of the players (other than by reputation maybe).

  I guess we could have had a 500 player MP KO Tourney, but pretty sure Lou wanted to get this in before next year US Open;)

  So, chop is in that list? If that is correct I apologise unreservedly. It appeared to me that LBCgolf had vouched for him, but I may be wrong.

  With all the respect that a great player like chop deserves of course.

  Why not just round out the list and add Thor, Ironman, The Hulk and Captain America.

  My average is a blistering 65 1/2, I think I'm 0-12 in MP vs. Legends, and my earnings look respectable because I basically won a drawing once.

  If anything, I'd be asking you for help.

  No hard feelings and I apologize if I came across too harsh.

  Well, if there are any pretenders on that list I'm sure they'll (I'll?) get washed out by the 2 matches.

  Conversely, there are guys who play nothing but Alt Shots, MPs, Challenge MPs, and they couldn't give a hoot about how low or high their averages are.  Of course their averages don't move 1/100th of a point if all they play are MPs.  Since MP is the format of this challenge, one would think you want battle tested MP-ers that don't crap their pants when they have to drop a 20 footer to push the match to the next hole.

   

  I hear ya, but without checking 100's maybe 1000's of profiles and stats, it'd be hard to get a handle on it.

  Heck, Fabian spends a decent enough of time just to do his top 100 averages and that's just "one click" to a players profile, to get MP stats takes another two clicks to get.

  EDIT:  In fact Genorb may not even have to look at the players profile

  For sure no system used is going to make everyone satisfied and we definitely knew many would be upset/irked by not being chosen, but we decided on the easiest and fastest way to field a team.

  We have kind of a surprise for rounding out the list if invites do not pan out.

  :) I knew all your stats, but to me they count for little and do not take much notice in the end.  I still believe you are a great player, or you would not be doing this - well at least a great person.

  No apologies needed at all, we're all adults (most of us, anyway) and we can take the truth.

  I still would love to have a game with you sometime and I have nothing to teach either ;)
