YankeeJim:
How you chose to focus your attention really is up to you. Bothering about people that play the system is a complete waste of time. You ain't gonna change it.
Get off the witch hunts, people. Be part of the passionate golfers. Get to the Legend tier and put it all behind you, you can't get hurt by it as a Legend. WGT is wising up. :-)
I respect the fact that you have been here more than 3 years Jim and your post count would suggest that you have heard all this before and are so fed up with it that you just don't care about it now, but there are many that still do.
The subject was popular enough for the question to be answered by MrWGT in the chat and his 1st comment about this was
"So... there are things we can do on the backend to check and validate a user, but a vast majority of the players who are in violation we find out from the community itself."
So rather than call it a witch hunt would it not be more correct to say it is the community trying to help wgt? Arrveeaussie was singled out by myself primarily because it is the person behind it that I have the most proof of multi-accounting and if what I have posted isn't proof enough then I agree with you that we should not bother about the cheats in our midst and just bury our heads in the sand.
My thoughts:
I believe if wgt fails to act on the information given then it sends out a strong message to the community that cheating is ok.
I, like many on here play Golf IRL and not only love the game but are passionate about the fairness and the integrity of the individuals playing it.
Is it cheating? In my RL golf club we have competitions for separate Handicap groups, what these guys are doing on here is like a scratch player being allowed to play in a competition for the 18-24 handicap group. It is not allowed IRL golf so why is it here?
