    SHRUDE:

People head out looking  for a new pc , and ultimaely their high specc'd Win XP model is probably performing better than the budget ones available now.

I have a Pent 4 Dell that kicks the crap out of most Higher level rigs nowadays . Thats for sure. And that's with an AGP slotted video card. Not going to list specs I cant find my control panel LMFAO. (joking) But at least I can spell (Thank goodness for spell check)

WIN 7 sucks! Its all about social media and videos n pics . Real Gamers are not running WIn 7 . But Microsoft will of course be greedy and force WIN XP to the grave .

Wow, what a great turn out. Let's start some conversations here. How did you like the format? Where can we improve?

Not sure if this is possible, but perhaps if MisterWGT was able to communicate vocally where we could all hear would enable him to answer more questions.  He would be the only one able to do so.

    Kindle2010:
The Chat in general was very good,

yes, the WGt 'guy' whoever he was,was very diplomatic and wrote eloquently.

    Kindle2010:

Players had  trouble getting in and staying in due to password user name issues, and if you weren't there a the very start there was no where to go to to find a solution. A how too posted to the original thread would have been very useful.

Yes although some of the 'elite' in WGT are privy to this room - opening it up to the public did need more foresight.

    Kindle2010:
Now I realise that not all questions could possible have been answered,

i think this was the intent, but the management of it FAILED.

    Kindle2010:
could have sent a short acknowledgement that they had received the question.

Yep - no interaction - MrWGT suddenely 'opened the room' yet - I was left hanging.

I asked - "am i doing this right?" in PM to MrWGT and to the WGT_(whoever)

If you are going to open up a public forum/ chat room, be prepared to address the publics questions , not just the answers you THINK you have prepared.

    Like i said before...   LAME

Many loved it in their oblivion / naivety ...

maybe the next attempt will come out of BETA mode and actually not be tainted with the 'dictatorship' it invoked & portrayed.

    ...just saying.

I think the chat with MisterWGT could easily have been done with a YouTube video.  Since there was really no interaction I saw, the video could have sped things up and allowed more questions to be answered.

for a 1st time i think it went quite well. 1st time's can be a bit of trial and error.

i dare say more of these chat room sessions will be carried out from time to time.

i'm pretty certain Chad & the rest of those involved with WGT are keen to hear what the members have to say.

sure the questions this time were of a limited number......but they got answered.

    it's a positive start.

Totally agree. My first encounter with this type of text chat, it seems a little low-tech and wonky. Chat, I'm thinking more of an FDR Fireside Chat, or Chad doing that avuncular Jimmy-Carter-in-a-cardigan sort of deal, looking into the camera, "My fellow WGT-ers...."

    Call it the Chad Chat.

    To Shrude,

Just so your aware --- no one is privy to this room.   It's an open chat forum for WGT players which Nivlac started about 4 - 5 years ago.    Some use it more than others ..  including the members of our club.  This is where our C Club was founded .. from those using the WGT chat room.

By, in case the some are not aware and have not read this in other forums, MrWGT is Chad Nelson, President and co-founder of WGT.

    Thanks,

    WGTadmin2:
the WGT code and all the wires between you and the server.  We will keep optimizing the code and see if we can ease the issues.  This being said a "lot" can be done on the computer side also.

Thank you for clarifying this WGTadmin2. I now know that my assumption of MisterWGT's response about the meter issue was correct.

Its just a shame when someone offers an opinion in a thread to try and help players with an issue that is being discussed in a thread, and then said opinion gets unjustifiably questioned or ridiculed when someone doesn't agree with the said opinion. And then takes it upon themselves to play forum moderator when in all reality, their not a forum moderator.

I'm all for keeping a thread on topic, but when someone just blurts out something out of blue, this is what derails threads, and potentially gets them locked.

    Thanks again for clarifying WGTadmin2.
