I don't mind, but there was going to be a prize somewhere, probably a Nearest the Pin on a par 3... which was why I said start tomorrow to give me a chance to get everything sorted.  So I don't get any arguments from other quarters, I think this result should stand.

OK,   ty Mio.  Don't think I was anywhere near the pin on a par 3 anyway :-)

I'm presuming that when we go to set up a match play round, we'll need to use the Practice mode, since that's the only way to fully customize the settings...If I missed this in the previous posts, I blame my 40 year-old memory.

Yes it can only be set up accoring to the conditions set forth by Mio in Practice Mode. I've played a couple of practice rounds on Kiawah with the tee and green speed set up and it plays very well. No problems with reaching any of the fairways with the starter driver and ball even into the mod wind.

Send him/her a friend invite or post on his/her wall.  Arrange your game time, then one of you will need to set it up as Matchplay in Practice Mode with the conditions as set out in the opening post.

    hey Mio ..

in the event that ur 1st round opponent remains non-responsive to arranging the game (after one has informed him of the match-up per PM or wall post), what would the procedure be then ?

.. say after 2/3 days of not responding to my prompt to arrange a time & date .. seeing as i'm from South Africa and there are time zone issues with my US opponent, i wanna pre-empt any possible delays of forfeiture to not miss 1st round play ..

I think in most cases a week should be long enough to arrange a game, even with time differences.  If one fails to be contactable, the player trying to make contact will go through.  If I don't see anything from either player in this thread about trying to contact their opponent or anything on their walls, then both players will get disqualified.  I do not wish this tournament to drag on indefinitely or not finish at all.  i will try to be fair with everyone and will allow some extension if I feel it is required, but I will expect all players to make every effort to get their games played within the timeframes given.

This is going to be a really nutty week for me in terms of play - CC tournament to conclude our summer tour, the start of WGF with possible "wonky" green speeds to get re-adjusted to, and then figuring out to how to not look like a fool playing with the starter clubs...

Just call me the schizophrenic golfer!
