    Can I just say, I've just had a couple of games with starter clubs and balls, and what a wonderful game it is again!!!  Played Congressional front 9 off the back tees and reached every fairway except #9 which was into a 13mph wind.  Nearly made par.  Would have finished +1 if I hadn't forgotten to change my putter meter on #8 for my first putt, then ended up 4-putting.

    So, expect some courses to be off tees that are a little more difficult than you might expect, i.e. not off the shortest tees every game.  Should make the games very interesting.

    Mio,

    I strongly encourage playing from the back tees with starter clubs. It's not nearly as soul crushing as people think.

    Olympic, Congressional, and Oakmont can all be tamed with starter clubs. (The rest of the courses are unplayable from the tips - too many fairways that are unreachable)

    Also, Best of famous (except for RSG's #3 and SA's par 5) can be shot below par with starters from the tips.

    Anyway, please don't puss out and put us on the ladies' tees. It's a ton of fun from farther away.

    Just a suggestion, (and I'm drinking beer at 4:00 on a Sunday, so don't take offense at my wording - I'm feeling cocky at the moment).

    I will definitely be mixing them up G.  But, like you say, some (e.g. STA) would be unplayable off anything other than the first 2 sets of tees.
