  It's a different colour.  I think they had to do that so people could tell the difference.....

  The differences between the R11 drivers are minimal.  The older R11 driver actually seemed to play longer on some shots than the new R11S.  In reality there probably is a 2-4 yard gain in distance with the R11S as an average.  

  The main difference is simply in the forgiveness.  Missing the ding (especially with the wind) on the R11 could easily land you in 40-50 rough where the new driver has about the same forgiveness as the level 81 G20 driver and even missed dings usually land on the short grass.

  Honestly any of these drivers is adequate to compete with at any level.

  Being at L93, I'm able  to buy anything. I think all should be able to do so instead of having to endure the lucrative practice that wgt has developed. Frisco. What a mess.

  right on  i use the g20 driver and often i drive longer then  r11  and i land on fw most of  the times:)  if i dont get to lv90 befor they kick it up to 94  ill stick with my g20`s

  and just get the irons

  You know what, you need to do something with these freaking greens. I had one of the biggest tournaments ive ever played in this game a 1000 credit tournament i needed to be top 10 in this freaking ready-go and bc of the freaking green i 3 putt from 4 ft away. Do something with the greens idiot.

  jeez .. i'll have to almost double my XP to get my hands on the R11 irons .. by that time there'll likely be somthin' else thrown into the mix .. ain't that a kick in the head ..

  and i'll be using the G20 untill the next ice age it seems .. ah well

  i liked an earlier idea of moving the current R11 driver to lvl 86, maybe 87, & keeping the R11s @ 90 .. i wonder if the WGT mods will further the dialogue based on all the input/comments on this thread .. they seem to have quited down lately

  All WGT cares about is making money.  The move to lvl94 makes business sense.  That makes it possble to increase sales of the R-11 (lvl88?) now that the R11s will increase to lvl94.  Too much of a gap now for members to want to wait for that driver, so they'll buy that lvl88 R-11 first.

  The problem is really the lower levels, and I mean the equipment available for Pros, Tour Pros, & Masters.  That is where WGT should be focusing on to even up things for the Legends.  

  Hey WGT, why just pick on the Legend Tier to piss off?  Piss off all the Tiers and make certain distance clubs out of reach for the rest of the players. 

  That way, everyone gets pissed.. this thread continues on and on, and you end up making more money in the end...... and that is really what this change is all about, right?

  Ladies and gents

  Since the R11s has come out, my R11 is still doing fine.

  Sure, here and there a few yards farther to play my Ping wedge instead of the R11 PW would be nice...but such is life.

   

  If I ding my PW I'm still putting for bird!

  Your last little tidbit will be a big mistake. The irons have a way faster meter than your driver and to me that will be hard to adjust to.
