WHen you flop does the shot seem to go way right all the time? Mine does and I have adjusted and improved my short game but was wondering if there any tips I can try ?

I have learned the Punch shot works great when in between clubs as far as yardage and adding BS to them. I would die without the Punch shot :)

The flop shot goes right because basically you're opening the club face. Imagine holding the club in your hands with it facing straight and then turning it in a clockwise motion. The club face is then facing to the right. Try aiming around 4/5/6ft left (depending how far away you are) and this should go slightly left of the pin and then the natural spin should take it towards the hole.

yes it does. here is what i was taught, and it works for me. check out my flop replays if you would like to see.

reverse the shot angle, and depending on the club you are using, move the landing arrow to the right of the pin. for instance, using a 15 yrd flop, i move 2 putting grids to the right of the hole after reversing the angle.  some try to just hit b4 the ding, but i use this way and it works for me. just practice it a few times and b4 you know it, you will get it down.

if you would like to, hit me up for a game and i can show you that way. i think its the most important shot to learn.

aim 3 or 4 ft. left of the hole.  assuming a flat green and no wind

For flop shots click on the line before the ding , that will give you a straight shot .

    Aim normally otherwise.

Here's what I wrote in the other thread:

About 8 feet with 20 yard flop

More for longer and adjust for wind

One thing you an try and works well is hit the line before the ding for a "straight" shot

You'll lose  bit of yardage and ele ation tho

Mine recently has been going wrong not right sadly. I used to be able to land pretty much any flop within a foot and now I'm 7 or 8 foot short on them.

Played a practice round yesterday where I played a whole load of them and I always seemed to be 3 yards long or 3 yards short. WGT say that nothing has changed but this doesn't quite add up for me.

Canuck4ever has it right, aim for the line before the ding, leaving the marker over the hole.. But you can also play the shot by moving the aimer to the left. Try both, and use whatever shot your most comfortable with.

BTW, wouldnt class myself as a top player, but the info is good above.
