I have to agree with Oakmont #9.  You can make an easy par there but to do so you have to hit every shot, apart from the drive I suppose, just right.  It's probably the most unforgiving hole in the game as well as a very tough hole in it's own right, that makes it the hardest for me.

Unless you can do this every round of course.

I've made 1 eagle on St. Andrews #17 and a par is pretty safe there unless the wind is really savage.  BPB #15 just needs practice and confidence.

    Oakmont #9.  Got to be.

Oak #9 also stands out to me .. actually the whole of Oak front 9 i find the most difficult 9 to play .. a real kick in the butt

My waterloo has been and will always be the 9th hole at St George.

Who in their right minds designs a green as long ridgetop thats maybe 15-20 feet wide and  sloops down either side. Just pure evil......

+1 for adding this into the top 5 worst.

The slightest error in choosing your approach line or in execution of the shot (unless 1 error cancels out the other, lol) = ball off green. Ball off green means very difficult up & down because of the ridge, where the pin is, running 90 deg to your shot angle. Oak #9 at the top  of the list.

BPB #15 can be played  in par (either pin) or better, if your putting is hot, as long as you know the correct approach line - if in the fairway, use the green reverse camera to aim and try to carry it to pin- high and about 10 ft right of the pin (left of pin as viewed from fairway). The ball will land, roll up above the pin then arc over and roll back down near the flag. The eagles I've seen there (alas, none for me) all took that path; bird is possible and par is likely.

Lot of them..  lol. Ill pick #7 BPB front pin. So called easier pin!

I scrolled through this entire thread and only ONE mention of this beast!  In terms of being able to birdie a hole, this one has got to rank up there.  An approach shot of 230+ yards means laying up on the green and then trying to sink a 38 foot putt!  Good luck with THAT!

Molly, Bethpage Black #15 USED to be what I considered the HARDEST WGT hole.....but, I figured it out (at least when the pin is placed at the LOWER position).

I managed 2 Eagles here.  What I do...is, make sure my ball is in full BACKSPIN before I hit my approach shot...ADD 18 Feet to the distance (allowing for wind speed & direction)....my approach shot will normally land ABOVE the hole...and roll back downhill on the green.  My ball actually rolled down into the hole for an Eagle once. But, most of the time, my ball rolls approx. 3 to 4 feet below the hole.  Now, it gets tricky...the break is usually HARD to the right...I hit an EXTRA 2 to 3 feet on distance and play the break....Many times, my ball has rolled just above the hole (a few inches)...and rolled back into the hole for a Birdie.  It actually took 9 full seconds one time...for my ball to roll back down and drop into the hole - I saved that REPLAY on my profile.  Good Luck! Bob
