Just played my match with Inger!

She is a great player! She did great with the starters, much better than me!

We had some holes with the wind blowing on our faces so the final score wasn't the pretended from both of us!

I have warned Inger for the screenshots but was me who forgot to take the scorecard... hope this is enough :)

Was really nice to meet you Inger! Wish you the best of luck for the next round!

Good evening folks and welcome to the Rio Tinto's third round kick-off edition to YodaCast! (I apologize for my absence the past two nights, it will happen from time to time). The first two rounds have ended and we have a total of 65 players competing for that overall number one spot this week. The competition is fierce and nobody has a real big lead on anybody. So really, it's anyone's tournament. As I said earlier round 3 is off and running. Let's take a quick look back at what was today.

Things got started off to a bit of a crazy start when JimBean346 and Tour bad girl Priestess had to restart their round. Priestess had in her bag a set of EZ Swing irons. (A knockoff brand of the Rio Tinto WGT starters irons) Apparently these irons do everything for you including swing your clubs for you. How this is done must be the work of the dark side, the Sith MUST be involved. So this reporter has concluded that Priestess was the Sith we were all looking for!! So be on the lookout if you have to play with her going forward. Don't be taken in by her charm and good looks. Anyways, she tried to sneak that by the Tour officials, but she was caught and made to use the proper irons. After restarting she did manage to post a very nice 30 giving her a 3-round total of -16 and sole possession of first place. (For a while anyways) JimBean346 shot 31 and that put's him tied for 5th place with MinkyWinkster both with scores of -15. (This reporter must apologize for applying the wrong gender to Mr. Winkster in previous updates. No offense was meant. I guess the skirt through me off ;) )

Towards the end of the day, week 4 leader LuisCraveiro played his round with playing partner Baabaaboom. All eyes were on this match as many thought both players scores would dip into the twenties. Well they didn't quite get there but they still had very respectful scores that got posted. Baabaaboom was up to her old tricks again as she went on another birdie streak to start the game. She birdied the first 3 holes and would end up shooting a 32. That put her in a three way tie for 2nd place. Meanwhle LuisCraveiro started his round off with an impressive eagle!!! he would finish by posting a 32 as well, but he would be our leader at the end of play for today with a overall score of -18! My hats off to these fine two competitors!

And finally, throughout the day many players made sure to make it known their heavy dislike for the Rio Tinto sponsored WGT starter irons. JCOlsen, a great competitor and WGT Super Star, posted a 33 for his third round today. He unfortunately had to bogeys during his round which kept him from having a great round. I caught up with him after his round for his comments on his round and the irons, "Rio Tinto can take its steel and shove it up their @$$!  Lol. 2nd hole 183 out with a facing 4mph wind. Aim 1 yd left of the hole. Put a little ts on it. Ding it. Only to have it yanked hard left into the greenside bunker. 3 iron disappointed the whole way. Snapped it over my knee in the end." It should be noted that the iron in which he "tried" to snap didn't even flex as he tried to snap it and the paramedics were called to the course. He was taken away on a stretcher and driven to the local hospital. No word on his return and early reports have him with a fractured left leg. Let's all wish him a speedy recovery. Also Dougsda released a statement today after his two under score of his third round. He said, "it was hard on us. (referring to the irons and their performance)  i'm giving the club's back to the sponsor with a strongly worded letter on where they can stick them. Strong words indeed. He is currently tied for 7th place at -13.

Well we have a few new faces into the third round and some faces that everyone expected to be there, but are strangely missing. Unfortunately some of the players weren't able to complete the first two rounds on time. But I look for those players to be back into the action in week's 5 tournament. Well that's all from your Jedi Master tonight. We have 8 players that are within 8 shots or less of tying for first place. Anything CAN and WILL happen. So stay tuned in tomorrow for all the action and yet another YodaCast by yours truly. Until next time my friends......Goonight.......Planet Earth!!

Making the cut is certainly a delight but the triple bogey on # 11 thwarted any chances for making the upper half of the leaderboard...But at least those 4 birdies to end out the round made up for some discomfort...And it was a pleasure to see a mighty fine putting exhibition from my opponent...Great Round Javier...!!! It was a pleasure to've met you and hope to play again soon...!!!

Sorry for delay but... after see my pin in hole 17, i have doubt to click correct pin option, and... i had some hard pins before too, like i hear that other players had them too.

This round was played on wednesday and my partner could confirm it if it was neccesary.

Sorry to all partners for my delay again

Thanks Villa; I have a dated PM which shows that Villa had played this before the cut-off point. In this message, he requested whether to post the score or not but due to our timezone differences, he wasn't able to respond before the cut was made. As I highlighted before, as he was in contact over this matter, his score would be accepted as I knew the round had been played before the cut-off point.

Villa; if you are able to partner with AllyKennedy, this'd be ideal but if can't get a time together, then find a marker to post your 3rd round score.

    Cheers

    James

PS: well done to everyone for making a quick start to R3 this week. Lots of scores already on the board which is great to see. All the best for those who are still to play.

Card for myself & douggongles - someone had a birdie on every hole - I got the first 2, he got the next 3, then I got the next 3, with both birdie-ing the last...
