    Courtney01:

    3) Can we get more incite into Slope Play and when Slopes will effect the shot. Most Fairways are not flat and slope in one way or the other, is this what you mean By slope Play?

Is this A deviation Or will slopes Play the same on the same slope?

My take is that they will incorporate the physics of hitting off sloped lies: uphill, downhill, side-slope (ball above or below feet).

Uphill shots cause club-head lofts to increase, giving more lofted ball flight and shorter total distance, given the identical spin of a level ground shot. Downhill lies give the opposite effect.

Side hill lies yield ball flights that leave the target line: ball above feet yields right to left flight; ball below feet gives a left to right curving flight.

My assumption (prayer, actually! lol) is that they give us the tool(s) to deal with this. Ideally they let us move the spin dot ANYWHERE on the ball. This would simulate opening or closing the club-face to produce any shot in the spectrum: Hook, draw, straight, fade, slice. Effectively you're adding side-spin to the existing ability to add top- or back-spin.

I'm a low 60.xx average Legend and am hardly considered one of the best of the best players, and I play ranked rounds for the most part.

Maybe it would be good if earnings played a role in the "Tour" part of the tier, that way you could separate those who play "seriously" and this who plays for fun. Then maybe a jump from Master to Legend, without passing TM, could be an option. Could make it easier to create tournaments that suits everyone.

Can't argue with that Tightrope. That is something to consider for the players who are unable to play for credits, other than the free tournaments.

I'm not going to complain either way. The challenge to score low is what keeps me coming back for more.

I think the idea behind the sidehill lie is that it will create % of variation based on said lie.  For example as Courtney previously said RSG lies will be on the whole fairly basic and flat with little to no variation however Oak will create (hypothesizing of course) anywhere from 5-15% effect based upon your lie.  IMO 5-15% would accurately portray golf in real life.  Ideally we would be able to adjust the spin on golf ball 360 degrees however I think WGT has previously stated that the physics behind this concept are much more difficult to program and run efficiently on the flash platform that it is say for EA Sports to do in Tiger Woods.  Sidehill lies will undoubtedly be similar to hitting out of the rough providing you with a percentage of variance.

Two things I would like to see all 2nd cut of rough go to 50-60% to prevent people from hitting a punch 3wood out of it which is extremely unrealistic and conversely would love to see the bunkers play much more realistically.  At these courses in real life we would all be FAR better off being in anyone of the bunkers with the exception of the road hole bunker than we would in the rough.  IMO all bunkers should be 5-10% when a ball rolls into the bunker, 10-15% if it bounces into a bunker, and occasionally can plug 30-40%+ in the event that you're hitting a mid iron or less and lands in the bunker on the fly.  Those two things I feel would make the game slightly more difficult and at the same time MUCH more realistic.

Is the shot-shaping portion of the clubs going to come into play with the new up/down, side-hill lies? And will WGT have to put a shot-shape value (dots) on the new equipment and/or the existing equipment?

    yep... looks like to me

    it punish;d ALL legends...

1st..now i guess il be called a sandbagger...

while all the level 90 pro's... runnin round driving the greens every hole,,..playing blits so they dont have to move up..

giggle away ... not a dam thing done about that..

oh well...i just play with friends anyway...

ahhh.. it dont matter.. anyway...im just a peeon... always will be...

the system is broken.. should be fix;d from the bottom up..NOT the TOP down...

but fixin it ..and  keeping it where WGT will still be able to sell the most equipment possible ,,i understand is very hard to do...

    peace..

Regards to side hill, uphill lies etc.

Perhaps this system should be graduated,

    1. Hacks        0%
    2. Amateurs 10%
    3. Pro             20%
    4. Tour Pro    40%
    5. Master       60%
    6. Tour Master  80%
    7. Legends+    100%

What I mean by this is that the impact of the lie will be only 10% for the amateur as an example.

Thus, as you progress, the difficulty increases also.

@Tightrope - perhaps the structure is in place for balls but not clubs.

Doubt that very much. The clubs also have a minimum tier "stamp" in the shop and it would be pretty bad programming to have different kind of behavior for objects that have so much in common.

Actually, I just had a look in the shop and found this:
    WGT Iron Set

    Level: 0+
    Tier: Pro+

Ha!  There is one iron set in the pro shop with a Tier restriction.  Funny.

It does appear the structure is already in place.  All Iron sets have a Level, Tier, and Cost requirement.  It just happens that only 1 iron set is tier restrictive... the set u mentioned above.

Pretty hilariously ridiculous if u ask me.  It kinda shows what at one time was an expected Pro level iron set... but instead we have Pro's running around with R11's lol.

    Cha-Ching!

It punishes all the legends without a level 90 pro account. The WGT Congressional tourney made it clear as day that those without second and third accounts are in the minority, also the fact that WGT would rather reward those players than punish them. Multiple accounts are only hard to prove if those in charge choose it to be. Legends with 57 averages will be allowed to sandbag to remain at a lower tier than their skill dictates, 'pros' will still be able to buy the best equipment. Nothing has, or will, change. The feeble minded are easily distracted and convinced by smoke and mirrors, which is all any of the 'changes' are. This garbage is indefensible. Sad. I am glad we're eventually gonna get another course. But, we were all expecting Lytham this year...

should be interesting to see how many under 60s manage to stay there now they have to play 100 ranked all over again

Under 60 Legends will be promoted to Tour Legends Automatically.

Glad the log of the meeting was posted, but really only 4 - 5 topics covered. and 2 of those wern't even in the 'post your questions' thread?

Some interesting things on the horizon.

I am happy there is a road map for Country Clubs, i am sure all of the already posted suggestions are in this map.

I feel the ability to create TIER BASED tourneys would be the most important for Country clubs.

and secondly, some kind of credits pool generated within the club to allocate for Prize incentives for Club Tourneys - perhaps an ability to transfer credits from this pool to Club Members.

Thanks for the opportunity and the news of pending improvements.
