TWOMINUSONE:Your reply here tells me that you are not willing to release the information you told me, or even deny it exists. I know what i heard, and i only wish now that i had recorded the conversation we had. I am not going to get anywhere here, so will have to leave it at that
First it was if you ding, then WGTadmin2 says, " the indicator is an approximation of the general direction and speed of the wind from 25 feet above where you are standing and up"..... WTF.......NOTE : I am not standing , I'm sitting at my computer as I am sure everyone else is and have only the wind info that is posted by the meter, flickering or otherwise.
IF you want to make it as close to real as possible, let us see the flag blowing on the screen and the tops of the trees moving as well as a hat flying off a spectator and let us throw grass in the air..... and consult with the dumbest caddies in the world we are supplied with.......oh my nerves!!!
I had a friend of mine over, tickettoride, at my house playing Bethpage with me on my other computer in the same room. I had an approach shot on #7, the par 4. I had a wind reading of 9mph against me at the 7 side of 6 on a clock face so I did not move the cursor, which was pointed directly at the hole......... I dinged the shot and he saw my setup heard the ding and we both said at the same time......WTF, because the ball landed about 2 yards below the hole and stopped dead in the rhubarb between the edge of the green and the right side bunker again ....WTF..........that's a 9mph, at least, in a 3 o'clock position.
Just sayin'
