Those who have the time to grind & grind all day long (will probably see the top 10 at least with these scores = 52 or a 53) compared to ones who dont grind, who are not unemployed, have a family and play it maybe 3 or 4 times and get a 57, those who grind will all ready  have the gift cards in their pocket because 3 or 4 strokes is virtually impossible to make up on bethpage especially in 1 round.  Fair enough if WGT need the revenue then give us an extra 2 or 3 rounds to make up the deficeit on the "grinders" because one single play round afterwards is probably useless, might as well call it 1 round of grind takes the prizes.

The last SINGLE PLAY championship i even managed a gift card because i was on a even footing with all the grinders, not that i grudge them winning, if you have the time to do it and nothing better to do, then its $100 for you.  All i'm saying that single play is much more of a "tense" tournament, fun and realistic.

You ever think that perhaps ppl on top have lives as well and are just better than you at WGT?

No matter what they do you would find a way to b*tch about it.

I can only say 1 thing: It's ridiculous of wgt to even make it possible for a player to score 50!

Bethpage Black is basically the easiest course from the game. Also, we are playing from the blue tees which makes it way easier. If you hit the ding as consistently as the top players, even you could score a 50. Ok, maybe not.

i value my time much much much more than a $100 gift card lol.

whether folks need to grind to win or just shoot great rounds on the hop it don't matter a toss to me.

let them enjoy their prize...it's only a game.

i'm just happy to be winding down my time playing on here.

it's been fun....especially watching Yancy's vids (which I'll always look out for new ones).....but alas....it's getting close to time to move on.

I must agree with the majority here....just play 3 rounds or even 4. Forget all the unlimited crap....at least it evens it up a bit. the better players will probably still come out on top the majority of the time, but i am sure we would see a few different names show up eventually. I don't play enough anymore to grind these unlimited rounds so i take what i get and move on.....just not a fan of the unlimited. My two cents....

With my pennies added, that makes four cents. The reason I dislike the unlimiteds is because it goes against the spirit of the game. Every course is designed with holes that offer a risk vs. reward scenario. Go for the green in two and maybe putt for eagle, or add a stroke for a shot in the drink and carry on (penalty stroke in tow). The unlimited tourneys take ALL of the risk out of those holes, and leave nothing but the reward. None of the courses on this site were designed to be played that way. Hit a shot in the water... restart. It goes against the spirit of the game. If I wasn't a devoted real-life player it might not bother me. Granted, this is a video game, but, it's supposedly the "most realistic golf experience on the web". Nothing about unlimited mulligans in a tournament is realistic.

I miss the Tierd tournament like they had at Olympic for the open. I was at least able to compete in that and came third. There is no way, on my best day I can shoot 50 on Bethpage and therefore, there is not much point in taking part.

I don't begrudge the top tier having their tournament, I would just like to see one us mere mortals can compete in.

Also, I don't mind there being an open tourney with no tiers, as long as there is a tiered one as well.

I also agree with people who say that tourney's should be single round play so that people can't restart and restart or just keep playing until they get an excellent round

OR at least run a single play and an unlimited play version of each tourney.

Accepted Buggy ,But 20 under par with a back pin on 15 blue tees( harder than Champ) Is a REMARKABLE score , make no mistake about that,,I lipped out 2 putts in a 53 but that's me done,52 was my aim,,Awesome 50 Penner,,That is a perfect round! 16 Birds and 2 Eagles,

First thing superb round from Penners,Second thing I like to play these Championship rounds don't ever expect to win anything but it's good to see how you stack up in scheme of this game,In the St.Andrews Championship I finished under par from black tees which I was more than happy & finished 883rd out of how many I don't know.

In the Kiawa Championship I finished under par from the black tees again I was more than happy & finished in 444th out of how many I don't know,I do not have the patience to do grinding for scores in the previous two I had 3 goes @ round 1,This latest BpB Championship I have had 2 goes the first time I hit 65 the second time I've hit 62 & currently I am in 376th out of if it's 50% make the cut then it's out of 6,282 so far.

So although I'm a bus ride away from the top guy's who's video's I have watched & learnt so much from,I'm more than happy with my progress GL to all that  enter.
