Given all the whining and moaning that's going on about this new feature, I think Kurt and Eg showed that it's perfectly possible to manage with it; yes they were both over par but you're playing pretty much one of the toughest courses with the toughest winds and starter balls and they are still making birdies - well done guys for braving the conditions and posting a good starting score.
I think lie factoring will be an awesome feature for this game; yes it needs tweaking and adjusting to tone it down but WGT had become quite dull IMO. No game which simulates golf should see people having to score -13 to -18 under to have to be competitive. The best players should shoot -10 at the absolute lowest to win a major tournament.
Tone down the lie movement but speed up all meters and you've got a perfect mix to simulate golf online. Keep most tournaments away from lie factoring until you hit master tier so that people don't run a mile straight away and that'll give people a reason to want to tier up. Just make sure that any MP game affects both players in the same way WGT (that'd be carnage otherwise).
Anyway I'm off my soapbox; best of luck to the 57 other players left to shoot R3. I know it'll be tough but grit your teeth, smile throughout the round and remember it always feels better once you've experienced something at its hardest.
