Come on, 181 yards no elevation to speak of, 25 MPH wind at my back at about 30 degrees shoot 163 come up 12 yards short BS
If the wind was a 30 degree tail I would have shot it 172 or 173 to 174 with some bottom depending on the green slope and ball I'm using... Dont forget a 30 degree wind is akin to a side wind and has less distance effect.
Woodoworkery: shoot 163
Was this a 6i (180) or a 7i (165.) Remember, you were my p on BPB15 when you tried your 8i (150) from 165 out and called BS when it came up short. Took 2 holes before you realized it was a brainfart and shoulda been a 6i shot. LOL
JIm, It was my 7I not quite fbs 7 I FBS = 162
So you choked the 7i (fixed my error above) with back spin, the kind of setup that invites deviation, especially with Nike balls, when you miss the ding. Sounds like that could be the case-a nasty break in the "new" gusting winds.
Hit the ding aimed at the edge of the green on the right, no choke moved dot above FBS , but not near 3/4 Back Spin
Still 12 Fu**ing yards with the wind pushing the ball forward, come on
FWIW, Gary, the guys we play AS with fairly regular all agree the wind affect has changed somewhat. Not a lot but enough to cause just what you saw. It's almost as if the wind is actually gusting and once in a while you catch the intermittent calm. What blows is not being able to figure out when you're going to catch it but I suppose that's real.
yj where do you get this stuff?from alice in wonderland?
Woodoworkery.........i have a feeling next time you have the same shot , you will ajust , and this here shot will be in the past :)
Frap, it has been my experience that if I do adjust the ball will fly out of bounds.........lmao
but really there is no need to adjust thats the iron to use for that shot in that situation
