    Here my semi-final with Tom.

I must first thank him for staying awake late into the night.

Unfortunately, the time zone and work problems have meant that the only window of this game was.

    Match

A good start my (-8 Front) and two putts lipp-out for him allowed me to have a good advantage in the first 9 (3 UP)

Then two fescue (12 and 13, eagle for him at 12) for me to have reduced the advantage of 2.

Two consecutive birdies led the match from my side.

Great Tournament TOM and GL for rest of tournament.

    Great effort guys :)

We have our first finalist then - congratulations to Demcug!!!

Well played to Tom; trust me when I say I'm delighted you got that far. It goes to show the strength in depth of players competing in the WGF Tour and I said at the outset that I fully expected there to be someone who was seeded further down who'd go very far in the MP event - brilliant effort fella ;)

Carmine / Tony - I can give you an extension until Monday evening but your match has to be played by then. If you can't get it fit together, please use markers or the RG method. I'll advise on which one to use if you need to use the latter approach.

Please bear in mind that the tournament has to be finished by a week Monday as this will be when the Tour Finals start.

we have been in touch with other James, was said we would play it Saturday at 4pm GMT so just waiting now for Carmine to show.  If he doesn't show today then hopefully we can get it done tomorrow.  I dont want to go the RG route, thats not what this comp is about.

Thanks guys, Im proud of my effort, Today after some rest and looking back i can acknowledge that it doesnt matter when the match was played. Demetrious is just way better than I am. Great shooting, looking back after im over getting beat like a drum i am very impressed with his play and demeanor. Good luck in the Finals.

Just played an exciting match with Tony. He had some meter issues, I missed some tense shots too, we had one bunker each :). Wonderful his eagle at (7?) on approach from about 190 yards, crucial my bird at 8 (hope I didn't wrong hole numbers :). Thank u for the game Tony and see u soon my friend ;)

Excellent stuff Carmine and the all-Italian final is still a definite possibility. I'll update the tour standings tomorrow for the four losing quarter-finalists.

Ally & Carmine; you've got until Thursday evening (8pm GMT) to get your semi-final played. Please try to get it sorted ASAP to give the winner and Demetrio the best chance of getting the final played before next Monday.

    Thanks

    James

congratulations to Carmine on the win, he did deserve it so no complaints from me on that one.  All the best Carmine in your future rounds.  I played totally terrible golf, had some meter issues and prob hit around 30% dings in the round.  Only decent thing I did was this lol

It was fun while it lasted though

Played Carmine, we had a few strange shots so it wasn't quite the birdie-fest it might have been. Carmine's 3rd on the par 5 inexplicably went long helping me go 1 up and then we had a 19mph headwind to back pin on the 17th making birdie unlikely there. Ever the gent Carmine conceded my par putt there. A pleasure playing against you again m8
