Why haven't there been any free rental weekends lately?

  The last free rental weekend that I recall here was way back in early spring.  It's now the fall of the year.  

  I would have to think that every time WGT had a free rental weekend that they immediately saw a huge increase in club purchases soon afterwards.  One would think that they would WANT to do these free rental weekends fairly often.  But that has not been the case as far as I can tell (lately).

  yep , they're kinda stupid that way...
  
  I'm sure as hell not gonna spend hundreds of credits
  only to review all the clubs I'm looking to upgrade for 1 day, screw that.

  but I guess I should thank them..(?)
  cause had there been a rent free weekend lately,
  I'd probably blow close to 100 $ on putter,driver and irons and who knows.
  
  not having a free rent weekend gives me time
  to think more and hold out for better gear,
  so it was a blessing in disguise. thank god these guys aren't very smart,
  it sure saved me some greens since the masters,
  which was the last time they had a rent free weekend,
  and when I bought the cleveland wedges soon after trying them out. lol.

  I can only speak for myself on this I guess but I have been holding off on purchasing ANY new clubs UNTIL there is a free rental weekend where I can try them out and see if I want to purchase them.   

  P.S. What they charge here to rent these clubs is ridiculous IMO - usually it's more than 10 percent of the actual purchase price just to rent the club in question for only ONE day.   A RENTAL charge for ANY club should not be more than 50 credits maximum for one day IMO.    That would spur a LOT more people to try the rentals for one day and therefore spur more purchases as well.

  I would dare speculate that the majority of players feel exactly like you do on these issues.

  Speaking from my own CC - we had a significant drop in activity within our CC over the past few months. 
  Imo - that would make it stupid beyond the price of rentals, to host a free rental weekend during the course of cummer.

  Well, since you are so fond of using the word "stupid" I would suggest to you that an example of being truly "stupid" is someone suggesting that there NOT be more free rental weekends here.  To me - that is beyond "stupid"..........that's just simply imbecilic.

  You can call it whatever you want - it doesnt take away the fact, that having "only" a player base of perhaps 60% over the course of summer, to spend a free rental weekend on, is not a clever thing to do. 

  The point of having free rentals is to have people try the clubs/balls/boosts/whatever - then make them subsequently purchase it from the ProShop. 

  Now - if you had a grocery store - would you then hold a sale when only 60% of your customers are around to buy from you, or would you wait until 100% customers were around?

  I am not against free rental weekends - but I do recognise that a lot of players may not be around to enjoy that. A fact that WGT is perhaps also aware of.
