And if I just have to play a set number of rounds until this extra punishment is relaxed, tell me how long or how many rounds that entails so I can know that there is light at the end of this tunnel and not a train coming back at me.

For starters forget asking WGT about proprietary specifics. Ain't happening. That light at the end of your tunnel is there, you just have to keep going in the right direction to see it. This IS in your head because by the sound of it, the frustration level is approaching DEFCON 5.

I figured  you've been on Legend speeds before and were familiar with that version of them. All Legend (meaning Legends only) tournaments and matches have the true Legend speeds, and there is a difference. It mainly manifests itself in down hill rolls and severity of breaks and you pointed out both of those in your post, indirectly.

You will get there, everybody does. It just takes this frustration you're going through, some call it a learning curve, to get you to improve. Quit trying so hard, it'll come.  ;-)

That would appear to be the ONLY way I am going to get back to where I was.  I have long suspected that many people do this, although it is not in my makeup to do it myself.

I am not looking for any proprietary specifics, only a simple acknowledgment from WGT that they do throw something into the mix at Legend tier to shake things up.  And if there is a length of time or number of rounds I have to wait through, that knowledge might keep me interested enough to keep playing.

High winds and Legend speed greens-that's it and that's all they will say. (Btw, wind affects putts, especially long ones.) Yours is the first idea I've seen that a certain number of rounds has to be played for conditions to stabilize.

Ever since I hit Legend tier, I have not been able to make a putt.  Something has definitely changed and I cvan't figure out what it is.

Is there something I have to do, like spend money on a new putter in order for WGT to let me start making putts again?

Do I have to contribute more money?  Do I have to kiss the WGT ring?

What do I have to DO?  Someone please share the secret because I am just about to totally give up on this game.  It is no longer any fun.

Here are the 2 things you need to do in order to become a pure putter.

    1. Get the wonderful putting chart posted by RUNWME Here in the forums

2.Get the PUTTER PAL to use with that chart!...Soon you will be making more putts. Good luck

I went to that chart and evaluated it with a great deal of concentration and concluded that it pretty well equates to what I have already figured out on my own.  Only I just use a calculator rather than the chart.  That gets me the speed but as I have already indicated earlier, speed is not the problem.  It is the breaks which are anything but predictable.

Hey spitlist, I made Legend in May. My first 2 rounds as a Legend were back to back 31's. I think I have only had 2 more 31's since. 99% of my scores  in the mid to high 30's have been the result of missing putts. I feel your pain, I used to play with mostly Legends to get ready for these greens, and made a lot of nice putts on Tourney greens. Since making Legend, my 1 putt % has gone down and my 2-3 putt % has sky rocketed. I will try a frontal lobotomy and see if I can get this out of my head. Will report back after my surgery.

I'm going to start watching the wind speed and direction more closely when putting to determine if that is the key element that I am missing.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

It is reassuring that someone else has experienced the same thing I am seeing.  At least I can rest in the knowledge that it is not just me, although I don't think I will be resorting to anything as radical as brain surgery!  :)
