The absurd R1 with BaaBaaBoom - all things considered, even with less restrictions I was completely outplayed. You'd think with an average distance to the pin of under 9 feet, one could post better than -3. Whether it's the club restriction or just WGT, I got hosed.

BBB has told me that this round was played with the beginner putter. My apologies for not making this point clearer beforehand. All players need to use the same mandatory equipment that is stated for your group. Whilst the beginner putter is theoretically weaker, it will still be seen as incorrect for this round.

BBB is aware that this round unfortunately needs to be replayed.

took screenshot with bag-but times out interfered with shot so I have this showing starter putter and balls-didn't user the starter driver anyway.

That is a seriously confusing qualification table going up not down. At least I avoid the starter balls being in Vauxhall not Mazda!

I can see lots of people are going to have this issue this week. All I don't want to see is people abusing what I'm trying to achieve. I've got a good idea of what people should be scoring with this equipment and if I see major anomalies then I'll clamp down on it straight away.

The bottom line is I'd expect most players to have bogies and doubles on their cards if they are using the right equipment. Based on what I can see above, I have no reason to doubt that you've used different equipment to what's required.

Think of a normal tournament Colin. You have a cut-line and everyone above it makes the cut and those below it don't. With this everyone above the first cut-line, make the first tournament and you simply follow the pattern going downwards.

It makes sense in my mind but then I'm the one who comes up with the conditions every week ;)

Quick question about the driver that was sort of addressed elsewhere. Assuming I can use my 3W instead of the starter this is effectively a "no driver" round but carry the starter rather than an extra wedge.

In other words it's fine to carry the starter and not use it?

Yes Colin; all fine. I made a mistake in my planning and didn't think of this point as it effectively negates the starter driver ruling. Can't go back on it now however...
