Golf has nothing to do with 30 second games ! (Talking about WGT.  Forget real golf).  Unless you played a course no less than four thousand times, took detailed notes on each shot and are able to find those precise notes on time, trying to come up with a good shot can be impossible.  Still fun, but not golf.

I would suggest that if you don't have enough time to play a nice relaxing game, then wait until you do, and play when you can go at least for a 60 second game (for strokes and matches) or no less than a 45 second blitz.  Other than that, I would strongly recommend to better play some good old fashion Pacman, Donkey Kong, or "Un, dos, tres, queso", perfect for that rush of adrenaline you might be needing.

    Re: The 30 second timer.

It's funny, when I first started, and even through Legend for a bit, I had no issues with a short timer, I'm still pretty quick on drives and Irons (unless heavy winds at the R&A courses, but I spend a lot of time on looking at my putts over say 10-12 feet...even more so inside that range on Champ greens.

Best advice is just bail on the short time clock games before they start. or set one up with your preferred time.

I wish the setup/search thing where you input the time was better managed..i/e 30-45...or 30-60 or 60-90, etc...right now when you select a time, I think search looks only at that time.

If you need 60-90 seconds to take a shot, your not having fun here, you are way too serious. This is a game, not life or death. I played an AS with 3 guys last night who almost put me to sleep. Next time you go to the head, take your notes with you and put them to good use. Don't mean to sound like an A$$hole, but good Lord folks, enjoy this game. And you all wonder why it is so hard to find an AS anymore. 4 players, 90 seconds each, that is a long damn game. We would get a warning from the Marshall on a real course. You have a foursome waiting behind you and you take over 6 minutes to tee off.

    i like 30 sec clock

but you got no chance with long putts, just hit and hope.

a 4 way 90 sec clock bores me to death.

should be 60 sec clock at best....only my opinion mind :]

totally agree,i played a m/p the other nite and my opponent wanted 90 sec timer, christ it was boring. He took almost the whole 90 seconds while i took no more than 10 seconds tops, that's the way i play and always will, thankfully i beat him.I do think 90 seconds is way to long to really enjoy the game, but that's just my opinion.

Thirty seconds is too short.  Ninety seconds is too long.  I get off most of my shots within thirty seconds, but there are a few, may 1% or so, where I need to study the break in a little more detail

Your mileage may vary.  I would postulate that if you can get off ALL your shots within 30 seconds, then you're just whackin' and hackin'.  Contact me for a money game.
