Why do we need to be so well and truly shafted when we want to sell clubs back after a day?

    Max Putter - 2500 creds

Sell it back a day later and it's now only worth 625 creds....that's a fkn joke.

Rip Off...........Severe Shafting.......I think these terms sum up the sell  back rate appropriately.

WGT should take less than 75%...I mean it's only pixels FFS.

Sure I rented it 1st and it seemed great.....but it appears buying it outright & the performance goes AWOL.

Complete waste of money.....and a complete pile of smelly stuff.

Sure WGT give a great game......but they are such a greedy shower of *****

I think it's fair that we let you rent the club before committing to a purchase you know will refunded at a severely reduced amount compared to purchase price.

Unfortunately TBE, it doesn't seem like that putter was for you. You probably should have rented it again if you weren't sure if you liked it. And you know better than to think the club performance will change after you buy it  :p

    rent it again lol....another 400 creds....woohoo.

    don't think I'm some idiot D.....

I rented the club....it was great.....so I bought it and the performance dimmed.

oh thank you very much WGT for allowing me to rent it for 400 creds......I feel so honoured.

You know I tested out a set of R11's round 18 holes in real life the other day....from a pro shop for free.

    erm.........

Essentially, the patent is for legal protection. It does give us the right to change the properties of clubs and balls, which we do often, but mainly it is for protecting the legal side of WGT. Whenever we exercise our right to change clubs and/or balls given to us by this patent, we do so unilaterally, and we tell the community about it. The only reasons we would do this is for balancing or bug correcting purposes.

there's a little contradiction there but apart from that, all I'm saying is that this MAX putter worked better rented than it did after I coughed up 2500 creds for the cattle branding iron.

No biggy.............but I sure as hell will buy no more clubs....balls yes..as for clubs WGT can ram them.

And why the greedy 75% clawback rate after only one day?

Either way I'll take the blow...and have sold it back as it's no use.

I realize you may be upset about prematurely committing to a purchase, but don't try to blame WGT for it. Not very classy. Your putter's properties are no different than any other putter of the same type owned by any other player.

know it'll never happen...but, a fair way would be to allow players to sell their clubs to other eligible (level/tier) players...Perhaps someone would have given TBE 2100 for the putter...maybe more...sort of a classified section on the forum.

That's definitely an interesting idea... might come across legal issues, seeing as our players do not "own" the items they are selling, but I'll run it by the appropriate people :)

Perhaps even a 10% rake to WGT..keeps players happy and WGT gets some back as well....just a thought....

All I am saying is that the club played better when rented..than it did after I bought it.

Obviously we are reading the same paragraph...except you chose to avoid the bit I highlighted originally.

I'm sure many people on this forum have heard WGT staff in the past state that "to their knowledge....clubs are not messed around with"

I don't for one minute think only my was putter changed....that's just silly.

What I said and will say it again...is that the performance dimmed from renting to purchasing it. Almost as if the putter was tweaked to work great whilst rented in order to promote the sale.

You have your opinion.....I have mine. It's best left that way.

What do you mean? Players do not "own" the items. When i bought my clubs in the pro shop i had to click on the "purchase" button. If i've purchased something then i "own" it.
