I think someone from WGT should just "man-up", and state their position on this Quitting thing.     It would surely put an end to this never-ending thread once and for all.      I see and agree with both sides of the argument.... but the Multi-Play is just a means to intermingle with other players and just have fun.

It should not be a place for personal agendas.     WGT?   Why can't u just Par Out the quitters' score when they quit.     No penalty here... u quit... u get pars the remaining holes.

Who cares if a guy has a 100 average and quits... he gets Pars....   his average is lowered and WGT gets a Pro quicker and more money for new equipment.     The vanity averages would disappear and we would find out who really is a Master...lol.

Pros would be hard pressed to keep that high 60 and low 70 average.

Best of all, it would keep players away from Multi-Play knowing they would definitely have a score to Post.... good or bad!

Yes, this is a free game and like all games there are rules.     The tournaments here have rules players have to abide to... so why not have rules for Multi-Play?

Acey.. they have.  Continually.  And it's not a big deal (to them).

Personally, I would much rather have them bring the hammer down on the sandbaggers who shoot high 20s in tournaments and then turn right around to push some 40s out in stroke play just to keep their average UP.  That way they can take all the Pro Tourney money without having to play with their peers on the Master tour.. (where they know they'll never win.)

Next I want to see WGT design a program that will verify all the Multiple Account holders.  These low-life scum are stealing money from amateurs and hacks.  What kind of sociopath needs to create another account just to take the winnings from new players?

WGT needs to deal with the cheats and liars who are taking credits and real money (cash!) that they don't earn.  THESE are the top priorities imho.

Not some guy who leaves a random multi-player game because they hit into the 70% fescue and got his playing partners panties in a twist.

If WGT has addressed this issue, then I have never read it.     I totally agree with you on the other matters... I was just commenting on the Multi-play issue.    The sanbaggers are the reason I stay out of those tourneys.     It's ridiculous when a Hack shoots a 30 for Nine holes.. come-on!!!   Those leaderboards are a joke!!!

ok so just played 9 holes on oakmont..    3 people in the group..    last shot the guy in third place leaves before his final putt..   now both of us who are remaining and TIED cannot even finish the game, let alone see if either of us would sink our birdy putts.

and you think that shouldnt be penalized???      yeah right man...

let me guess snaike we are trying to "punish" him...    pff..  we couldnt even finish the round

HE, the quitter punished both of us by ruining the conclusion to an even played game that came down to the final putts... rendering the prior 40 minutes useless..

let me guess thats ok because the game is free?    what the F does price have to do with being unable to finish your round because some loser quits..

Let me try the same logic on you that your 'punishing' friends have tried...

Didn't you have the chance to go back and finish the round?

    Well, so would he...

    So? Where's the problem?

Exactly.  Forcing someone to finish a round would not have saved you from that scenario, he still would have quit, you still would be standing there, and all of you have to go back to finish the round.

You WERE able to go back and finish it.

That's the problem with the anti-quitting crowd... circular logic.

wtf are you talking about ,,,    the game was frozen..    you expect myself and the remaining player to magically reconnect...  we had no choice but to quit the game and we had no option to return to finish the game....

you have over 2500 posts..  you represent what exactly?  the obsessed?     you dont speak for the average player nor the new player base which wgt needs to grow the business...

face it you've lost objectivity to speak on the issues..   typical fanboy who thinks the company can do no wrong,   how dare we ask for changes!!!!

lmao @ "anti-quitting crowd"   is there actually a pro quitter crowd?    yeah that makes sense..

Pars would work good only for Masters.

    No, definitely.

As written few replies ago, this is not just about the quitting issue, but about the challenge/realism matter. At present, scores are distorted.

Thus, giving the insurance to rank up through quitting is the exact opposite of what we want.

No, not with pars. Pros should get bogeys.

    Amateurs double bogeys.

    Hacks triple bogeys.

I wait for wgt to comment. I did search for a past one and didn't find it. If anyone did, please link it. That's all i'm waiting for.

So for now, happy (sad) forfeits.

Just 3 comments and i'm out of here.

    1) Skeptical .. your impressive ... 2 weeks on WGT and you know what the thousands of players want.   And if you think this is more than just a game ... look hard at it next time you play.

    2) A company in business to provide on line entertainment  doesn't penalize it's paying customers.  Penalizing people for anything at all is not a game enhancement.  Quite the opposite.

    3) There are lots of other forms of entertainment out there vying for the same dollar. Once WGT starts to penalize me for deciding I don't want to finish a game ... I'm out of here and back spending my spare time and dollars playing on line poker or whatever the next hot fad is ... I'm guessing lots of others will do the same.

Funny there... when I had to leave the game, I was asked when I came back if I wanted to complete it.

Wow.  I guess you DID have the opportunity to finish it.  Sucks that you didn't.  You must have quit the game.  /SHOCK!

Face it, WGT has spoken volumes about the 'quitting issue'.. they have said absolutely nothing other than offering a 'flawed reputation tracker' that they are in no hurry to fix.

WGT will not punish players for playing their game.  I am sorry that fact hurts your hyper-competitive/controlling spirit.

You can call me all the names you want, but it won't change the facts.

    1. People quit
    2. Get over it
    3. Move on.
