I must add my name to the list .

As a master long since. I am trying to get to Tour Master. However, the harder I try the harder its seems to be.

I was at level 89 just about to turn level 90 and buy the top driver to help me a little more. What do WGT do they move the top driver from Level 90 to level 94, the day before I turned level 90. I thought it was me, i had read it wrong, then it was confirmed that WGT had changed it. THX FOR THAT WGT.

they keep changing the courses, pin positions etc. then i am told they now have a formula to make the game harder for the player when they are playing too well. It apparently analises your game and changes it to stop the player getting too good.

Well, maybe WGT should start paying back some of the members that lose balls etc due to game criteria changing. jerky meters etc.

Now I see they have introduced an English avatar. What a joke. A white blouse, blue skirt with a small george cross on the shirt. Someone up the in WGT towers is having a laugh. 800 credits for that. Look at the irish avatar, the oz avatar, the US avatar. do i need to go on???

Come on WGT get your act together.

    alosso:

The answer is, nobody has ever taken credits for any achievement.

Pretty sure he meant "credit" as in acknowledgement of his MP achievements in his putting, driving, etc. stats. ;-)

I have the English Avatar - well worth every penny!  Blouse has cross on front breast pocket - big cross on back with the 3 lions in the middle - really good IMHO

Contrary to many peoples train of thought, WGT are not trying to punish the honest high level player for whatever reason have not attained a higher Tier. They have tried to address an issue which does exist, perhaps with a knee jerk reaction without really looking at all the ramifications.

That said, how and why does the Community Spotlight ALWAYS show a low average (sub 60) hack? Today there is a L82 Hack average 59.50. Only 2 ranked rounds and a Tourny win. Surely I would not be difficult to put all players in a database and extract the players who show as an anomoly? I could scroll through players and weed out dozens of names who are genuine or suspected sandbaggers in a short time, so why cant WGT?

    Ang1K:

When you can go to the pro shop and buy a new level for 300 credits I don't see how you can police this fairly.

Nail hit smack bang on the head right there!

As with any move, details (i.e. exact numbers for tiering up) matter a lot. I definitely agree that something like this had to be done regarding sandbagging, but if done too harshly, it may have unintended consequences. Probably WGT has a good idea that a large number of players are non-paying - they are either good, compete in ready-goes and win sufficiently, or not that good and don't play much for credits. In either case this move may hurt them: the former may not be able to earn enough credits for decent clubs before they reach the master level - and it's little doubt that with starter clubs, even with having a K15/Rapture wood, which is probably the most cost efficient investment at lower levels, they won't have much chances from the master tees. For those who don't compete in tournies much - I also can't imagine how it can be fun to play from master tees with starters. Both of these kinds of players, if "unwillingly" tiered up to master, are likely to quit.

Now, if WGT policy and business goal is to eradicate the population of "freebies", that's probably what they should do - but I'm afraid they might lose quite a lot of customers with that... (who despite not paying spend a lot of time on the game, watch ads, etc.)

So to wrap up, do I think it's bad if sandbaggers are allowed to acquire enough credits to use the elite shop? (as some from the infamous CC did) Definitely. But do I think it should be forbidden for lower level players to win enough credits to buy clubs in order to remain competitive before they tier up? Definitely not.

    OK, WGT......wtf?

I wouldn't complain if this were a challenge match (which I play, too) or something else involving credits.   But.......I lose to a TM in a fun match...no change.  I beat a Legend in another fun match.....and my avg drops from 65.5 to 64.48?  That had no repurcussion on anyone or anything.

Unfair to drop my avg a full stroke when I shoot 63 on Oakmont yesterday and it only drops my avg. by less than 0.5.

Too much weight on match play............especially when the match isn't even for credits.  When you get this under control, are you going to restore my average back to it's rightful spot?

Also, what you are encouraging is for players like me to AVOID playing Legends, or anyone playing above their current tier, to avoid affecting their average prematurely.  Rethink is required asap.
