Edit: Different for the CC pass timer: It resets to 12 hours after each use. Thus every pass you pay for surprisingly prolongs the time to use the next free one.
UngerParr: have he 24 hour timer run from midnight to midnight.
This is the case AFAIS, and the timer is in GMT (UTC 0). You can easily check this with a glimpse at the clock on the game window, main menu, after the "first" game.
My guess: When you finished that game from 6 pm in your time, it may have been past 12 am GMT, an unfortunate miss.
My 2 Pfennig: You guys from the American continent, get used to playing a hole or a three-holer just before you go to bed, as "after work" may be too late.
And: you only miss two days in your effort to collect XPs - not too much IMHO.
