From the FAQs:

"What is my Average Score?

Your Average Score will be based on multiple best scores within ONLY your current Tier, not scores that you shot when in previous Tiers, which better reflects your current skill competing with the tee boxes and green speeds in your current Tier. Your Average Score will be based on ONLY your best scores, so completing a bad round will not negatively impact your Average Score or Tier. So be sure to finish all your rounds and gain the extra experience points, as a bad day won’t matter."

It needs to be updated to reflect the recent changes including match play.

Could you be more specific? I'm not thinking of any recent changes that affect this passage from the FAQ

Match play now effects your average with the new system in place. As well as negative scores, they now effects your average with minute fluctuations. I am not sure if it is designated to stop fluctuating at a specific number of rounds per tier, but I have well over 100 as legend and mine still goes up and down.

Hope this is what he was referring to.

Correct. I took the liberty of inserting an example of what I'm referring to in bold print below. Very simple but effective.

Used to be 400 rounds at legend before the fluctuation stopped, it now seems to be 500 (since the introduction of TL tier). So have fun filling the quota.

Plus tournament prizes seem to lower it, so actual scores are no longer the only factor for calculations.
