In the WGT FAQ's it states "Do Match Play scores affect my Average Score or Tier ranking? No, Match Play scores and results have no effect on your Average Score or Tier Ranking. The reason for this is that many Match Play games will not go a full 9 or 18 holes, and on many holes one player may not finish the hole". How come my average has dropped 4 strokes [yes FOUR strokes!] in the last week ? I predominately play match play and blitz, since these are my personal likes. I have not played a stroke play match for ages, so how come average has dropped [radically] ?? As it states, quite rightly, it's impossibe to judge one's ave. score in matchplay as putts/holes/ even games are conceded or unfinished.
