forfeited games that are not

    Pizza delivery's delayed over the weekend...

    1) When a player disconnects and the game is aborted, the %% are taken from all players - game not completed, regardless of responsibility. This set-up is intentional als WGT confirmed. Unluckily, it causes the hits to innocent victims to outnumber the responsibles (quitters and the like).

    2) Be sure to leave all multiplayer games by "return to menu". Only this will complete the game and save the %%.

    3) There's a glitch indicating "forfeit" when you didn't. It should not have any impact, also not to the %% (if it drops the %%, see ##1 and 2).

    4) Custom balls don't last forever. They wear and get lost, creating a steady income to WGT. Ball life depends on durability, ranging from approx. 90 to 120 strokes (not counting putts from the green). When used up, they are taken out of play, replaced by the next one. Mind you to keep the stock up, e.g. by buying when offered through the round, because the replacement of the last custom ball is the Starter - no change through the round acc. to a modified One Ball Rule.

    When it says "forfeit" it just means you lost...it's just poorly worded. It has been this way for at least a month...

    Havning all the same problems.  finsih the game and it tell's me i forfitted. Since the last update  the site has been junk    are we testing this stuff ? I have had more than a few games since the last update    a guys quit's halfway  threw the game and in the end he wins with a 22 ?????   are u kiddiing me ?   been here ince 2010    spent more money than i should and now i have to put up with all this ????

    This is true. We are aware of the bug that happens when a player does not go through the complete exit of their game by clicking through to the main menu before they close their browser.

    This bug does have a negative impact on a player's game completion percentage, but it won't affect any other statistics. We are working to fix this difficult bug.

    Maybe I am just thick but I do not understand why the percentages shown at all. Why is it necessdary. There are a myriad reasons why one sometimes needs to quit a game. One example is that like most players, I like company. Sometimes I start a solo game to pass some time but when a couple of holes in a friend invites me for a game. I would rather play along with the friend than solo - much more fun. What do I do - turn down the invitation and reluctantly stick it out, or do I get 3% knocked off my percentage for choosing to use WGT for one of its intended reasons ?

    I repeat ' why do we need these percentages at all?

    The %% only applies to multiplayer games. So if you play solo you may well follow your friend's invitation without fearing a %% drop.

    Try to look up the word "quitter" in this forum - myards of threads. These ppl who drop out of a multiplayer game voluntarily for various reasons are a pain for their company, interrupting their games, spoiling their fun. Reasons for quitting may be anger about a bad game or shot, anger about good play of the company, interruption by more important things like chefs and spouses, or plain cheating, looking to avoid credit losses in challenge matches.

    The %% was created to make such behaviour visible. Those who inadvertedly lose connection to a game should be much less affected than repeat and voluntary quitters.

    In theory, a good concept.

    Alas, the %% count applies to ev1 not completing a MP game regardless of the reason. Thus, unfortunately not only the quitters and disconnectors are affected but also their victims, turning a good thing to bad because the number of innocents per definitionem exceeds the number of "culprits". In addition, some games' programming is weak against disconnections, causing unnecessary %% drops by design. These include Blitz and Skin games, and also strokeplay, since the introduction of the game lobby.

    There may have been improvements but we haven't been told yet. Some news have been announced for next week's chat - who knows what they will say.

    why not just drop the % thing and be done with it,i never quit but lose quite a bit.When i have lost i either turn lappy off when tired or hit main menu button,but i still get YOU HAVE FORFEITED and % goes down regardless.This has been on both M/P % Stroke.

    Give Us A Break WGT.
