    TallAcePaul:

Sounds like the US were very lucky to snatch a point!

Actually Paul, it was quite the opposite.  World is lucky we didn't steal this match on the 9th.

It was all square going into the 9th hole.  I hit my approach to 13 yards out in the front bucker.  Avatar landed the green to within 42 feet.

I've hit this shot 100 times and I tried to hit it confidently telling Jarid it was going in, easy.  I hit the flop from the bunker and misclicked right by a few pixels.  The ball landed and ran toward the right side of the cup.  It hit the right lip, swirled toward the back and around 360 degrees, staying out at 4 inches.  If I wouldn't have misclicked, I'm sure it would have gone in.

Avatar, putting for the win, then hit a great putt that just drifted right, perfect distance to within a foot.

I think it's actually fitting that it ended in a draw as it was a great match, well played by all, and no one deserved to lose.

    TallAcePaul:
That sounds a fantastic match well played all and a first tie so nivlac gets to use his half symbol.

You have no idea how long I've waited to break that out. =)

We just had a really good game there and I'd like to thanks Blue and WvMountaineer for putting in a lot of effort to make the time for our game. Doug and  really appreciated it as we both know that it's been frustrating for everyone the last week or so.

Also just want to mention that my partner Doug (aka Dorkfeatures) played a great game and really won the match for us.  Being the only Pro from either side made him felt that maybe he wasn't up to mixing it with some of the best players around this site, but he managed to brush all that aside and played a great solid game under enormous pressure.  Well done mate, it's been a pleasure hanging out with a fellow Aussie and I think we made a great combination.  Go the Aussie connection ! Go Team World !

    Hi Guys,

Just like to reiterate what Cool has said.

Many thanks to CMBlue and Wvm for a great game. There was nothing in it at the end, but we just managed to hold on through the last 3 holes to take it out 1 up.

A quick summary of the match for those interested.

America 1 up at the first, stayed 1 up through 2.

Internationals drew level on the 3rd,  America back in front on the 4th.

The Internationals won 5 & 6 to go 1 up and held on through the last 3 holes to win 1 up.

Nerves and pressure won out in the end I think, but a great match.

Thank Cool for the tuiton, & support - it was really appreciated.

I have to go to bed, its real late and I'm dead beat :-)

    Go THE INTERNATIONALS

    Cheers Doug (Dork)

Great job gentlemen on your win! Certainly a very close game, but you did what was needed to pull out the victory!! I certainly enjoyed it, and look forward to the next! I believe it was my fault for the loss, and will try to correct that next time! Joe, great shootin my friend, maybe next time we will finish strong! Thank you all for the enjoyment!! :(
