Hate to rain on your party and everything, but doesn't the thread for the 'WGA Tour' have almost 500 posts?

Does it? Oh, well, never mind, it´s still quite an achievemnt to reach 300.

For those of you who are thinking of coming on the IRC this afternoon, the match will be NOT BE PLAYED AT 3PM EST, as was previously said, but AT 2PM EST, which is 7PM BST.

Two things that I said during and just after the match on the IRC commentary jus about sum it all up:

    - I´ve never had a heart attack, but it can´t be worse than this

    - That is the best and most excting "professional" match I have ever played.

Unfortunately, though (for me, anyway, not for you americans), USA won one up.

They got ahead on the 11th, but a birdie from Seve put it back level on 12. Then Gitthe and Jarid won 13, and Diego won 14.

On the 15th, I played the best shot of my life at that hole and left it 7 feet from the hole, but missed the putt and the hole was drawn. Jalaii won 16th and we drew 17th.

On 18, my putt went an inch too far right and just missed the hole, so it was all pars, the hole was drawn and the match was won by U.S.A.

It really was a great match, the level of play was great from all four players. Gitthe and Jarid were slightly ahead of us with the putting and that´s what won it for them.

    WORLD 5-4 U.S.A.

Unlucky fellas - and well done US - I don't know how you managed to get a 2nd shot within 7ft on 15, that's some shot.

The ball bounced in the rough to the left of the green, so that helped it to slow down. It rolled on to the green, caught the slope and turned towards the hole until it was seven feet away.

    Double header tonight.
