My Profile - Status

  I clicked  on[ Edit ] - but from there, nothing appears like a text box entry.

  The [Cancel] does work at least.

  I am using IE7 on Windows XP sp3

  Once you click the [EDIT] button it turns the status field into an entry field and should highlight the text like in the picture below:

  

  Once you see it highlighted, you can just start typing and then be sure to hit the SAVE button when you are done.  Also, we are aware of the issue where you can't see the text being typed if your status goes longer than one line.  Even though you can't see the text past the first line it's still there.

  Well the other option I tried was write a quick notepad.txt update and ^Copy; however, in the Edit Status box, the right click ^VPaste was not highlighted.  I'll go try again.

  Nope still no working in Internet Explorer v7

  I tried an update with iTunes' Safari browse and was successful.  Not sure how to fix or even value of it knowing XP & IE 7 are older versions, but maybe worth noting as part of minimum system requirements when similar problems pop-up with webform updates.

  You will find that most of the players here do not use IE. It is not very good at doing anything.

  Firefox works great for me, many like Google Chrome, and there is one called Seamonkey that has had good reports but I have never tried.

  Are we running out of browsers we can use?

  I can't use Chrome because it results in the 'spacebar issue'. So I use Explorer.

  But I can't edit my Status. The 'edit' button doesn't take any input. The other buttons on the My Profile page work OK. But not the EDIT button for STATUS.

   

  WTF?

  EDIT - I haven't touched it and now its working again. So dunno how it wouldn't before.

  There are dozens of browsers that you can use. Try a few and see which one suits you best.

  I use Chrome, have no 'spacebar issue', and can edit my Status in the way mentioned in the post near the top way back in 2010.

  So, "WTF?" is right, because from my perspective - Chrome is not an issue.

  What OS are you using?

  go to ur profile page click appearance then upload a photo and save it

  Chrome is the only browser that doesn't let you use the spacebar in chat. There's heaps of people with the same problem. WGT are saying Google should fix it or delete the various flash players or use another browser. Chrome is as popular  as IE Explorer.

  I need Chrome as Vimeo only lets you use Chrome to upload videos.  I now use IE Explorer to get around the spacebar issue. I'm using Windows 7 64 bit OS.
