Just guessing, but that seems a reasonable explanation to me.
And yes, there are people here being the best sales persons they can. Anyone knowing this game knows that to really serious players there's just 1 honest advice: Sit on your credits until you reach level 83. It took me only a month or so to figure that out, so you know that for sure, being on here a lot longer than I.
For me the only exceptions to this are the 1415 credits tour pro+ set (for getting used to high trajectory and higher meter speed, yes, it has high trajectory) and the lvl55 Daytona putter. Besides those 2, I'm not gonna buy anything until I reach lvl83 and I would advice any player the same if he is not so wealthy he can throw money around, but still wants to compete in the long run.
