    Question All,

Something, and I am not quite sure what has seemed to change for me since the release of Oakmont.

Up until the release, when I would hit a approach shot with either of my Master Z Satin Wedges (110yd or 90 yd) the ball would generally stop within a couple of feet from where it landed, if not stop dead in its tracks, but not anymore! Now the ball seems to roll several feet if not yards based on the lie.

Has something changed in either the green hardness dubbed "Very Fast" or my equipment? I use either G12-D's or G13-D's for my balls. I don't know whats changed, but something is very wrong! My meter used to be somewhat stable, and just prior to the release of Oakmont, was the best it ever was. Now its very Hurky-Jerky! And yes, I have cleaned out ALL of my caches.

If anyone has some insight, please advise! I sure appreciate the input!

    Thank you,

    Trackterror03

Is this happening everywhere or just at Oakmont? It sounds like you're playing the Tournament greens like they were Very Fast.

    Agreed, good post Jim.

This and a lot of the shots at Oakmont are to a downhill green, which usually will result in more roll for the ball.

    YJ,

It's happening everywhere and for every mode, i.e., stroke play, CTTH, etc.

Where I really notice the change is at St. Andrews. For example and especially hole #'s 3, 6, & 7. I will land my drive, say on #3 within 85-90 yards to the pin. Before the course release, I would use my 60 degree Z Wedge (90 yards, and full BS) and usually land between 1 to 3 yards from the pin. But no more, same shot technique is now making me land 5-8 yards from the pin, if not more, and I don't understand why. I actually had to abandon my ready go tournament a short time ago, because my meter would freeze up practically on every shot. I tried to buffer it by taking practice shots but to no avail. Before I logged on prior to play, I did clean every one of my caches, the browser, the flash cache, and the disk clean up tool.

I don't know, but something is seriously wrong with my play since the release.

    Thanks,

Did you go back and adjust your settings after clearing your cache?

When you clear your caches you LOSE all your prior settings.

Turn your Flash quality down to medium, turn off reflections, etc and hopefully you'll be back in business.

Leonard, you must navigate to the GAME OPTIONS from the MY SETTINGS dropdown in the WGT Main Menu screen.

There is a scroll down bar on the right side in case you can't find additional options.

    Best of luck.

    Jay,

Yes, after logging in, that is the very 1st ting I do. I believe it is a server problem due to all of the new data as well as the addition of Tournament Greens to WGT. I think somehow it has affected play/course attributes.
