Every member of Cosa Nostra that I have had the privilege of playing a round with has been friendly, and without a doubt gentlemen.

Thanks for that.  Always a pleasure when we play.

if I was a member of the club and I learned that information I would not want to be a part of something that could potentially offend so many people.

You have to watch the Godfather trilogy before you get made. You get extra credit and a bigger gun if you actually read any of Mario Puzo's books. 1/2 credit if you can even read.  Then you have to mail a drop of your blood to the owner and hope he doesn't whack you and let's you in. :-D

OK.. I've seen the Godfather and enjoyed the movies (obviously not a huge fan)... didn't realize the reference and was just going by what Davide wrote.  Yet.. I think it was commendable for Davide to describe why the name is offensive... and members can do what they want.. of course.

    Hello dude.

Sorry for been direct but did you ever think how it means "Cosa Nostra"?I can understand that we are in public online game and the country club takes some fantasy name but using that one is really awful, speak for myself of course.

Italia Cosa Nostra, well-known as mafia italiana, is criminal organization that operate in Italy and all over the world killing thousand and thousand of people, including childrens and women, from the past II world war until no estimate date, it's still operate for shameless.

Men, women, children (solved in acid), didn't care to die from their hands and I'm really piss off to find here too someone who cares to remember that f*****g ugly name, maybe not for his real intent but it's like if some italian new members choose to name is country club Ku Klux Klan. Maybe someone could take this apart.

Sorry for been unkind, but for Italian dudes like me Cosa Nostra means shame.

    Salut and sorry again,
    Davide.

Actually if you google the term"Cosa Nostra" the definition you get is the mafia operating in the United States.

This term meaning "Our Thing" is what the American mafia referred to themselves as. What Davide is describing has no connection to the term "Cosa Nostra".

    Just for close my definition.
I don't need to google "Cosa Nostra" just because I live in the country where everything did born.

Sorry again dude, for real. That wasn't my real intent.

    Sorry,
    Davide.

Just remember this is virtual life.....and that if you do happen to beat a member of the Cosa Nostra on the front 9 of Kiawah, you won't sleep with the fishes or wake up with your prized race horse's head on the pillow next to you.

I've played against many members of this cc and have always found them to be a great bunch of guys.

On a final note....I would just like to give a special mention to Giovanni Falcone, who in my opinion was one of the most courageous guys this world has ever known, who fought hard against the Sicilian Mafia as a prosecuting magistrate. He gave everything including his life (assassinated 20 years ago) to help rid the island of such scum.

Agree with tbe, Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino were the final shameless victims of Cosa Nostra. I hope someone understand what I supposed to tell in my very first post of this thread.

Give my apology to Mike again and hope this the end of the off topic.

    Salut,
    Davide.
