Just a few things, not wanting to really further the discussion, but let everyone know some information.
Cobaltm inherited the club a month or so back...from another member who in herited the club from the original owner...
The original owner had recruited myself in to a different club back when I was a TM, into the "Black Sock Mafia"...the club was at around 250 members, but many stagnant, so the owner shut it down and started a new club (all from TBSM) and capped us at 50 members...back then, the owner for quite some time, on the CC home page had mention "of this thing of ours".
YJ and HP were not with us then, I think Squez was and may remember the original CC "message".
Being of Sicilian decent myself (2nd generation American) I took no offense to the club name.
As a young child when my Nano still spoke enough English, he would tell me of life in Sicily (he was born in 1892 and came to the US in the middle of WW1). I mention this because I learned of the "strong arm" as a very young child. In no way did our original owner intend for us (to be as our CC name may imply to some) in the same nature as the Italian Mafia...nor have I ever felt we were.
We could call ourselves the Elite Green Fords, but evey Chevrolet driver would resent us;)
Take care, our CC name has no semblance to what was mentioned (and I do respect his position), but when TBSM was closed down, we (CN) became a close knit family pretty quickly...it's just "this thing of ours" that keeps our core group together time and time again.
